***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

bah i bottled it, went in o2, they have plenty in stock £400 + £10

i chatted with the store manager, he was adamant that the current crop are locked to O2, he said that they allowed someone to test one yesterday and it was indeed network locked. that is a deal breaker.... he would not let me check either :(

bottled it...

went in car phone warehouse, they have a sign saying £389 sim free, she ran it through the till and confirmed what we all new that it could not be sold without a contract, cheapest being £29 per month....

Nobody who has bought an O2 one has been sim-locked looking on XDA etc. I just think O2 staff have been told to say that for exclusivity reasons.

yeah i know, thats what i have read, its a gamble if my plan to buy 4 to cover the cost was gonna work, i would have to open and test before selling, as at present there is no sim outlock for this phone and if i sell as unlocked and that's the case then im in poo poo

So now over at XDA people are saying their pending card authorisations are being cancelled and the funds re-released.

So where does that leave us - will the order fall through and will we wind up having to re-order with the next ********ed up rush in 3 weeks?

What a load of crap

What's the return policy with O2 anyways? Is there one?

I'd hate to buy a locked phone when I'm on EE.

just googling, looks like 7 days, so maybe with the delay i could revisit this again!

Can I return it because "I don't like it" or does there have to be a fault?

Obviously this will just be a made up story and the true reason is because it's locked (if they are locked that is).

I want to visit this too, but I can't use the N4 until AOSP/CM release a custom ROM. So maybe in 3 weeks time there will be custom ROM. But I can't use stock Android, its step back from what I'm using now (S3 with CM10).

If you order online you have 7 days for sure to change your mind due to distance selling regulations, in store I think once you open it you can't change your mind
