***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Quality, that's a result! I believe EE's offer was for a limited period but that has now expired. However if you can pick one up on Amazon or even Asda, you won't be disappointed.

Speedwise I regularly hit around 21-24 mg and that's using a Three sim card!

Same as my fiancée's iPhone 5 on Three then. Just what I wanted to hear!

Haven't checked in on here for a while, still really happy with mine. Such an amazing phone I love it.

Anyway any info about on how often they are getting stock into the UK Play store at the moment, and how fast stock sells out?

Family member wants one so said I would keep an eye out for when they come back in.

Turn on airplane mode and your phone will last a month. I think the drain is due to the phone not having a SIM inside.

With regards to Google Now, there's an option inside Latitude/Maps which causes higher battery drain than normal as it reports your location and uses it for Google Now. Google Now will still work without it though.

My battery usage has been a bit odd the last couple of days, its gone down quite a lot over night even though I have airplane mode on. Can't think why its happening but have gone for a good old dose of switching it off and back on to see if that fixes it.

I was playing with my phone for quite a while last night and had loads of stuff turned on, downloaded GTA Vice City in like 20 minutes and was playing that.

Anyway as I was doing all this with the phone I noticed the back of it got really hot, not too hot to hold but it was really really warm, like how a laptop gets.

Is this a problem? Will a case or bumper or whatever exacerbate it? I don't want it to overheat or anything.

Mine gets a little warm when playing games. Not too sure how this will affect it in the long term. Sure i read in this thread that other people were noticing the phone getting a little warm.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it at all. My S2 used to get a lot hotter than this does.

I walked into an EE store (it used to be an Orange store) and they just gave me a Orange micro SIM. Also customer services offered to send me one for free when I called them, but I didn't want to wait 3-4 days for delivery.

rp2000

When i i needed a microsim for my OneX the orange shop i went into refused to give me one and that i had to ring CS and i've read the same from a few people on here and else where, but as Jimlad said maybe things have changed in the 7 or so months since i tried to get one.

They said to me last month that it costs £10 to get a micro SIM.

I had to phone up to get mine for free after I said I pay less than that for my actual contract!

Ended up getting £20 credited to my account because they took so long to deliver my card after disconnecting my old SIM! - 1 free month and £10 to buy the micro SIM at a local store. But the SIM got delivered the next day anyway :P

So I am on franco.Kernel r28 but still have almost 2 hours of msc wakelock today. Running the latest PA aswel if that helps.

From my testing, you'll get that wakelock when running on 3G with no wi-fi in low signal areas.....

IF you are on Wi-Fi it should be negligible. I lost 3% on battery over 10 hours overnight on R28 whilst connected to Wi-Fi and 6% overnight with Wi -Fi turned off.

Loads of you probably know this but if you register with Box, editors choice app off play store, you get 50gb of 100mbs storage free, if you're using an LG phone like the N4, I just joined n got the allowance even though the offer was meant to finish on the 31,12,12

What are the best cases for these people?

S Line Wave any colour apart from white (gets dirty far too easily), £1.50 - £2.50 on ebay. Do not recommend black either because it is not see through, the coloured ones are and you can show off the back of the phone (glitter effect). I have tried various cases from ebay and this is the best one as it covers the buttons and the top and bottom of the phone, which others do not, therefore all you need is a decent screen protector. If you want I have a black Nilikin case (does not cover the buttons) and a White S Line case (slightly dirty) sitting here which I could post to you for a few quid, but I recommend going for S Line wave coloured

also the only place which knows when stock is coming back in is the google store, sign up for their email notfication if you can and they will email you in advance of stock being put online, but i reckon it will be at least another week maybe even a month.

I wouldn't rely on the e-mail though, they didn't mail me last time and it was just fortunate that I heard on here that they were going back on sale.

I use MoFi soft pouch cases for my phones, and my girlfriend hates them. So when I gave her my Nexus S after getting the Nexus 4 I got her a case; an S Live Wave. That's now sat unused as it's hard to press the buttons and traps crud round the edges of the screen / case.
