***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

just found someone selling gameboy, camera, football, etc cases for the nexus 4.

gameboy and camera cases are around £5, basically make your phone look like a camera or a lens when you go to take a picture, or make it look like a gameboy when you place it face down, etc.

football cases are around £10, they have the likes of all the big name players, messi, ronaldo, aguero, mata, hazard, podolski, tevez, villa, iniesta, etc with the team shirt printed on it.

if that link does not work this is a direct shop link

just search for "Nexus 4 E960" and all the cases should appear

Fishy?

Or perhaps it's because no-one is buying it from the expensive retailers because they're waiting for the Play Store to get stocked up again?

the demand for the phone is greater @ £200-£300 than it is @ £300-£400, therefore supply is shorter of the £200-£300 ones from play. plus the play store is 1 outlet, whereas all the other places will have hundreds possibly thousands of outlets when combined, therefore they would be ordering a lot of stock in and now trying to shift it @ the inflate price, which is a lot harder to do.

i very much doubt anything fishy is going on, it's just a huge **** up from google's end, the should have allowed pre-order's months in advance, as does every retailer when a new console is being launched. they could then look at the number of pre-orders and say, woah hold on here a moment, we only anticipated selling 10,000 of these @ launch but we have orders for 100,000, we better tell LG to make us 150,000 for launch

Need help where on earth can I get one of these
Rearth ringkle cases from?

Tried mobile fun and they keep telling me it's being delayed, turning into nearly a month since I paid them!!
Any other place has them in stock?
Or another case?

I ordered directly from their site, arrived in less than a week. No it doesn't protect the top and bottom borders but does give what seems to be pretty good protection to the back and sides which is all I was interested in.

did you pluck that date out of the air?? :D

:D:D:D

How on earth are a bunch of guys on OcUK supposed to know when google are having another shipment in from LG? Unless I'm wrong, we don't have an insider telling us such things and we arn't telepathic :D

I must admit when I was waiting for mine to arrive from the Play Store it was absolutely crap refreshing their site every day at many times an hour!

... but I always thought that someone on here knew the answer to everything! ;)

Am I not right in thinking theyve only just got the 6/7th Decemeber ones sent out last week? Thats still 4 days worth of orders to still dispatch, up til now theyve only just fulfilled 2 days worth.

Considering that if you havent got your order in is there any point in waiting for this phone? By time you order and get it delivered its likely to be already March/April...

ps3ud0

The phone is worth waiting for for a hassle free stock experience. New phones are just around the corner but the price point of this phone is what makes it appealing. Sure M7, S4 and such will beast the N4 in terms of hardware and screens and cameras but the software will still be slow to update. N4 users will be enjoying KLP whilst others wait. All comes down to preferences in what you want for a phone.

I got this one off ebay, similar to what i have on my iPhone 4s, good fit and well protected.

After waiting for almost 2 months, the phone was finally shipped. I arranged with TNT to collect it from the depot, however, when I got there TNT said Google "asked for it to be returned, and this overwrites all other arrangements".

I contact Google, and after a few flow chart replies the conclusion is that I will get a refund in 2 weeks and I should not worry and once I get the refund and stock is available I can order again.

I begin to see why Apple is so hard to dethrone. If this is how a pre-order customer is treated by Google I am not convinced they are "ready" yet to deal with people other than through their de-facto search engine and e-mail which is "impersonal" by nature.

I guess my attempt to try Google for a change failed. Will probably grab an iPhone 5 tomorrow and revisit Google when if they manage to get a proper customer facing shop up and running.

PS: I tried to get hold of a manager or someone "who can make a decision" and unfortunately either they do not exist (which is what I think) or it is their strategy to refuse/avoid to be exposed to the customers. For some reason I believe that Google Play UK is run out of a garage by some random dudes who follow flow charts some guy designed in the US.
