***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I ordered mine at 7pm on the 30th and it's still pending. Any updates from anyone else who ordered at around this time?

Ordered just after 7pm on Wednesday, delivery attempted Friday morning and I collected from depot in the evening on the same day.

Having issues trying to unlock the bootloader.

Can someone give me step by step instructions to see where I am going wrong. I think the problem lies with the device not being detected by USB. But I've downloaded Android SDK and installed the Google USB driver. But Windows will just not install it!!!!

Just printed a PDF template....scissors out and voila all sorted.

Now to have a play although I had 4.2.1 on my s2 so getting déjà vu.... Luckily I've also got n upgrade frpm now so will see what new phones come out shortly.

I was having trouble too, harder to do than my tf300 initially!

Found this, which works an absolute dream, definitely recommend. Great backup tool included.
Only issue I have is it won't flash twrp properly, if you work that out let me know.

Reboot into fastboot (either 'adb reboot bootloader' of hold vol- and power it on)
Windows should install the driver (or at least need to be pointed in the general direction of it, it's in the SDK folder somewhere assuming you've used the SDK manager to download it)

Run 'fastboot oem unlock' from the command line

Use fastboot to boot a custom recovery (fastboot boot recovery.img)

Use said recovery to install to root .zip that you've got saved on the phone

Windows isn't installing the intended drivers and I have SDK installed and downloaded the Google USB drivers. I have even tried to force the install of the drivers through device manager

I've had to force install fastboot drivers before, sometimes Windows thinks it knows best when it really doesn't.

Can I tempt you to try Ubuntu? It kinda just works :D

I got an email at 5am saying my order had shipped. I got up at 8am and saw the email so texted my mum to let her know it might arrive today - I'm in university and I had it sent to my home address. She then texted back saying it had just arrived! I'm back home on Thursday, can't wait.

My tacking number doesn't even work yet and it's already been delivered...

Well ordered Sunday and it's out for delivery today. Unfortunately they didn't email till 9am today to say it had been shipped yesterday so no one's in to accept delivery. Brilliant communication. If Google weren't by far the cheapest even with that extortionate delivery charge I wouldn't have touched them with a barge pole for anything that doesn't come via a download.

I ordered on Sunday too and it's being delivered today. Thankfully it's being delivered to my uni halls so there will be someone there to accept it :D
