***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I'm enjoying the nexus 4 so far but miss the feature that my note 2 has of pulling down from top of screen to turn on/off wifi, bluetooth etc

You seem to have to press a few items to get to the wifi option from pull down menu and I don't like the power buttons on the screen has a widget.

Is there a rom with the same system from the pull down has the sammy?

I believe CM10 lets you pull down from the left/middle to bring down the normal notification centre, pulling down from the right lets you bring down the quick toggles (and you can rearrange which toggles you want and in what order too).

In fact, you can customise which area you want to pull down from to get the quick toggles.

Two finger pull down.

Did you order it direct from their website ? Also if you fit the skin will It limit any cases you can use ?

Yup straight from their site. They are very quirky. Nope doesn't limit usage of cases. It's authentic 3M vinyl so can be re used many many times and does not leave any residue.

Oh, really? I deliberately let mine drain at the weekend thinking it would help calibrate the battery meter. Oops :)
Nothing wrong with doing that once just to ensure that the battery meter is reading properly. However there is no "memory" as such with lithium polymer batteries, and they don't like being fully discharged. Once isn't going to do any harm however, and the phone will automatically switch off long before the battery reaches the depleted levels that can severely harm it. This said, the more frequently charged the better.

I put PA on mine the other day. I like the extra screen space from having the PIE menu instead of the fixed buttons at the bottom. Although I think it broke my swipe writing since that doesn't work anymore.
You can get this functionality on any other rooted device with LMT Launcher. Not to crap on PA's parade, just so if you decide to switch elsewhere at any time, you know.

Oh yeah, best battery saving apps? Or whatever will help save the juice.
None. Set Wi-Fi to not notify you of new networks under the Advanced Wi-Fi settings, and limit the frequency with which applications update their data.

Anyone managed to get IrssiConnectbot working?

App works brilliantly, until I try to connect to a server with a Public key.. No way to import the key from the server to my phone other than over SDCard, obviously can't do this because the Nexus doesn't have SDCard support. :o

How does it feel, and how easy was to it to apply it? Is it a wet application? [/quote]

It feels good slight texture to it and smooth better than the glass feeling. very easy to apply its a dry install. Precision cut so it lines up well. Easier to apply than a screen protector for example. Can be re used if you take it off again .
