***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Wow, are you on a bad mobile connection tals?
I was easily getting 4 hours WiFi / 3g mixed back and forwards during the day.

that was on totally stock.

I've been trying different roms the last few weeks and still find it easy to 4 hours plus SOC.

I think it depends how much you use the device.at work I will get 12 hours plus, go on a train and it rapidly goes down just a more constant use, add gps in and you can watch it literally flowing away.

I use paranoid android which I suspect is less efficient than stock and Franco kernel to make up for that :-)

I run AOKP and the latest Franco Kernel (currently #154). My typical usage is:

-Take off the charger at around 07:10.
-Check up on news/RSS feeds/mainly web content during my 15 minute break.
-Finish checking the news and stuff, and then watch a Youtube video or two or listen to music throughout my 30 minute lunch break.
-Do a random combination of the above during another 15 minute break.
-Listen to music while commuting (just over an hour in total). I may watch another video while waiting for the bus.

By the end of the day, I usually end up with about 30-15%, depending how many videos I watch.

I'm on 35% and it's been on since 6am, 2 days ago I was in London and it barely made midday, very hard to compare usage patterns.

anyone selling this and going for the S4 google edition when it comes out ?

the only thing i will be selling mine for is a nexus 5.

so long as google keep to their motto of not selling for a profit.

other phones just cannot compete if they stick to that business plan. makes other phones overpriced in comparison.

Is anyone on a panther contract with Orange and manage to get their swapables working?

I can only select deezer (which is one I want anyway), but my only other choice is Russell Grant's Astrology...... really?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but its a long thread to search.

Do any of the third party camera apps allow you to use one of the physical buttons as the shutter button, rather than having to press the one on the screen? And if so any particular one that anyone would recommend (preferably free)

well that's interesting

I did a factory reset last night and noticed my WIFI was super quick. Until of course I did the 15 google app updates.

Once I did them and rebooted my wifi was slow as usual

I've been using Parandroid Android for a few weeks now and whilst it's ok if truth be told the only thing I like about it is the removal of the menu buttons at the bottom. Otherwise even with Franco kernel I think it is worse on battery life.

So are there any launchers people would recommend that you use with stock google which can get rid of the menu button at the bottom and have a pie style selection. That part of PA is very sweet :)

Such a pain as it is such a key feature imho - getting rid of those menu buttons with such a tidy solution is massive - will make going back to stock difficult as you effectively are losing real estate on your screen. Just not sure about the rest of the rom :( I assume this is the only ROM (other than PACMAN) that does this.
