***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Hi all,

I've recently bought a Nexus 4 and I need a headset to go with it. I'm not a fan of the ear buds on the original Nexus 4 headset, you need to buy that separately. I prefer the older type earphones.

I'm thinking of buying this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221169135440.

I'd just like to know what everyone thinks, are they a good set of headsets? They seem to have what I need, Volume Rocker, Microphone and Call Answering.

Please advise, thanks!

I've made up my mind, dead certain now. I've decided to go with the new Apple EarPods, they are much more safer than the iPhone 4S headset I've seen them break easily the top pop out and the cable isn't securely firm no rubber protection it's very lose. Apple EarPods it is!

Part no. MD827ZM/A

PS: Does anyone have any Apple EarPods? Could you try if you have any regular foam earphone buds/covers/tips what ever you want to call them. Picture below of what I mean, I might need these and I want to know if they fit properly.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a headset to use with my Nexus 4. I'm not a fan of these new type of earbuds that go deep inside your ear, they always slip out I prefer the older type ones.

I've looked around, seen the Apple EarPods which was highly recommended but then I read that it doesn't fit all people and can sometimes hurt.

I'm considering the previous model to that, the Apple EarBuds that come with the iPhone 4/4S. Picture below.

Now I've recently seen these headsets below that look quite good.

Please advise on a good pair of headsets for my Nexus 4, under £20 and you've seen the type of fitting I need above.

Cheers!

-125mv is 100% stable on mine like it was before, 150mv reduction caused issues when the battery got less than 15%.

going to stick with -125mv.

as for headsets i would avoid apple, and ask the same question in either the sound city part of the forums or the home cinema part of the forums or both, or even head over to head fi forums.

Just thinking of buying one of these but can anyone tell me who delivers it (Post Office/Courier). I'm also not sure whether or not to put my work address down for delivery as I don't want it to go there over the weekend. Decisions, decisions!

If bought from Google, it'll be delivered by TNT. I believe recent orders have been delivered next day (day after ordering), but not 100% sure as I ordered mine when it was first released.

I had the same fear - I ordered it Friday and it was in the destination depot Saturday morning and delivered to work on the Monday. Not sure if they have slowed down but it was pretty much next day delivery when I ordered. It was TNT back in February,

Bought one middle of last week and only just got it today thanks to a nice guy in TNT customer service, otherwise id still be waiting for it as the local driver couldnt be bothered to deliver it even when it was in his van and 'out for delivery' for four days! :O

Anyway, phone is gorgeous, right up there with the iPhone which ive just come from.

Is there any more rumours of a nexus 5 arriving?!
current phone is rubbish and contract is up in october, I have the option of an upgrade at the moment, or was thinking of getting a nexus 4 (and then a giffgaff sim after contract ends) but then I heard a couple of wee rumours of a nexus 5 in q4 - any one have info!? :(
