yeah, I was actually about to buy one and googled it, only to find articles about how they were being removed from sale at cpw etc!

I don't think we will see a new nexus device till November given the past few years, especially when the N4 ""only" properly came into stock around January-February........

I would hold out for the new motorola phone(s) coming out "quite" soon and they will be very much like the nexus 4 but better!

yeah, but surely they will avoid a similar balls up this time!!?
I think it will only be released when the stock is there so that they can get a decent amount of christmas sales...
just going to sit it out for a while anyway

You would expect them to get it right this time though, just have to wait and see...... Hopefully they will put a limit on how many devices each person order so no more than 2 as last time you had people buying 5+ just to put up on ebay and make a profit :rolleyes:

It's with a great reluctance that I sold my N4 yesterday. The rumours of the "X" phone that are swirling around the internet proved to much for me and it pushed me over the edge.

The N4 is a great phone and for what it brings to the table for the price it's sold at, the phone is an amazing bargain, however the draw of the "X" phone and its very imminent arrival is very tempting.

Why? All signs point to the Moto X being a mid-range handset.

a mid range (high end for 2012, decent bit better than the n4 overall) for less than the n4 is why

Although don't expect a release outside of USA any time soon, at least not for the "X".........

I'm getting confused now. I've just bought the Nexus 4, for £180 brand new boxed 2 weeks ago. Is the Motorola X going to be the next Nexus? Or is this something else? Can't quite make sense of it lol.

Apart from the camera how will the X be better?

We have yet to see the confirmed spec and price, esp GBP.

And possibly by the time we see the Moto here the 2013 Nexus will be knocking on the door

Not the new Nexus no, Moto is a Google company now so that's why people are excited.

It's all about the customisation and extra sensors on the X phone, as well as the camera and cheaper than the N4 (I hope - depending on the exchange rate at the time of release)

dont know why people are getting hyped about the X phone?

unless of course motorola have also turned into a not for profit platform, i don't see how it can compete with the nexus range price point.

It won't be a lot better afaik...... however, imo it should be a decent amount better especially for the price (if they decide not to change it) and of course design etc. will be an important area!

I wouldn't spend over £200 for a phone, that's just me. It was a struggle trying to even get the Nexus 4 at 16GB for under £200 but I managed to get a deal off someone from eBay for £180.

If I can get the Moto X for under £200, I probably will buy it, but I doubt the price will be that low lol.

I'll be very surprised if that is true......... At least regarding the release date. EDIT: oh wait, it is an "unveil" date for the nexus!

I can't see Google wanting to go to that size though!

Personally I think it looks ok except for that stupid logo placement, which would be gone when/if it becomes a nexus device.

I don't suppose anyone know's if it's possible to customise the bottom navigation bar with the stock ROM? Ideally I want to try and combine the dock and navigation bar, so move the navigation buttons to the left for example and therefore give me space for 3 or 4 apps to the right? I've seen screenshots where people have what I want but they always seem to be using a custom ROM.
