My year old N4 has a badly smashed screen (you can still see everything, but touch doesn't work). I'm trying to work out what to do with it, it seems I'll only get about £30 from the phone recycling places. Anybody got any other ideas?
 
I've flashed the latest Purity rom which is now 4.4 based. It's rather nice. Had to change the screen DPI to 268 as everything looked too big at the normal size.

repair it yourself?

or take it to the local indy shop after buying all the parts and pay for labour of repairing it. the touch part though is expensive. so it won't be cheap. it also not being a well known phone the parts are hard to get a hold of and adds even more to the costs.

I did enquire into this but it just didn't seem worth it. After getting the parts and paying someone to repair it the total cost would have come close to what I could sell it for anyway.

ring up LG and see how much it will cost to repair?
