***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Anyone here having wireless charging issues with their Nexus4?

Bought an Adata CE700 and no matter what location i put my Nexus4 on it, at best i can get it to very slowly discharge.
Input charger is the N7 one, so 2A.

Ideas?

Yes.
Multiple chargers, multiple cables.

I've got it arranged to send it back now, will try a different one.

Any suggestions?

Android L coming to Google Nexus 4 and original Nexus 7

Google has confirmed that the Google Nexus 4 and the original Nexus 7 will be getting the Android L update in the autumn.

Android L, the brand new mobile operating system, was announced during Google I/O in June and will bring a new “Material” design and exciting features to the Android platform.

During the annual developers’ conference, Google announce source code for the Google Nexus 7 2 and the Google Nexus 5, but didn’t mention any older devices, leaving many questioning whether the new software would be compatible with them at all.

However, Google has now released developer source code for additional Nexus devices, including the Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012) and the Google Nexus 10.

Good to hear my Nexus 4 will be getting the update, Phone is surviving very well and still feels snappy enough to make me think I wouldn't see enough of an improvement with a nexus 5 plus its that bit bigger and I dont want an even bigger phone.

I have my phone set to use .25x animations in developer options, it feels very quick as a result.

nice one, never knew that option exsisted. I assume your rooted? as im on stock and only have off or .5% options but even .5 feels snappier.

I am yes.
I used to have it on .5 but a new update to PA put it on .25, but i haven't bothered adjusting it.

Only issue is that with the GEL launcher, the animation speed can mess with folder views occasionally, looks odd, but still usable.

It's good if the N4 does get Android L as it's supposed to increase battery life by up to 36% and battery life is biggest problem with the N4.

How usable is it?? How is the Battery???

I know it's not finished, but is it worth it for a 'Daily Driver' OS????

100% stable for me at the moment. Battery life i'll have to let you know once its all settled down. But easily worth a daily driver at this point for myself.

Downloaded and gonna install tomorrow!! :)

Quick question though... Does flashing the Preview-Beta also Flash Superuser (and thus Root) to the phone?? of do I have the flash SU and BuisyBox myself??
