just requested PAC code from tmobile...after 6 years with them...ready for n4 ;D

next decision will be o2 or three on sim only ;D

Im so under prepared, totally forgot to order a sim cutter off the bay :(

Take it there is no high street option for this kind of thing

Local indie phone shop, your network store would be able to swap the sim, or maybe CPW I think they still might do it.

Have a gmail account but never bought anything from the Play Store (coming from an iphone 4s). So should I buy an app or film from the Play Store in preparation so that they already have my cc number details and address?

Setting up Google Wallet will do the trick.

Use GiffGaff instead of O2. I've had a contract with them since the BT Cellnet days and cancelled it yesterday because they just can't compete on price.

I don't get a signal at home that is good enough to sustain a phone call, so I am on Vodafone, who have their sure signal device.

I think the only other network who have a similar device is 3, but I have no idea how good theirs is

Been reading the last few pages ill throw in some of my thoughts. Vanilla android is good but in my mind it's still missing certain features from the manufacturer skins.

I've got a HTC One X currently, Sense is excellent, forget about the launcher and such but it's features make it stand out compared to vanilla. For example social networking, Sense is bliss for this, on Jellybean it syncs high res photos for contacts, it syncs events and birthdays, it syncs your gallery, and friends gallery if you want, all this is missing on vanilla android sure you can use third party apps but this is natively built into Sense and is better than HaxSync for example.

The mail client is excellent. More features compared to vanilla and Touchwiz counterpart.

The contacts management is top notch, probably one of the best on any phone. Android is generally better than iOS in this regard any way.

Sense has burst mode in its camera again missing on vanilla I believe.

Touchwiz also has its own feature set like codec support for native video playback, smart stay, and such. The Note 2 has multi window multi tasking support on its Ui.

Sure vanilla is good but don't count out overlays as they do provide useful features which is missing on stock android.

All those added manufacturer "features" also come with an inherent delay with Android updates. So pick wisely :)
