***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I'm going with 8GB. 8am isn't too bad... and that would be the 13th EVERYWHERE.

I think we need to make the distinction between "android phone" (Nexus) and "android-powered phone" (Galaxy S3). This is certainly a flagship for Android itself because it will be used to develop and test new features before they go to other manufacturers. Whether it's a flagship for Android as a broader entity is another question - given the lack of promotion for this device and relatively low consumer mindshare I'd be inclinded to say no. That title is better suited to the Galaxy S3.

Wow, try and segment things a little more. The S3 is an Android phone.

So, you've called it flagship, but then described developer phone...

Have to choose soon. 8GB or 16GB? :o

same dilema!

The "jump out at me" appeal of the Nexus 4 was the cheap price justifying an upgrade - which was the 8GB.

Have compressed my music and only using 4GB on current phone.

So 8 will give huge upgrade at decent price....but don't want to regret it!!

Seeing as you seem so set on arguing about this "flagship" thing i'm going to throw in the wikipedia first line:

"Core products or flagship products are a company's products which are most directly related to their core competencies."

Hence as more than one company make android phones, there can be more than one flagship phone.

If we want to treat android as a "company" then we must pick the phone that is related most to its core competencies...i'm pretty sure Google as the makers of the android software know what their core competencies are.

You seem to think that flagship = best. Despite that being the case in most situations, it's not quite right.

But it is a smartphone with 16GB.

Yeh but the debate was whether it's an android phone and/or a flagship phone and/or a google phone etc. Got bored after 2 posts.

Purchasing this tomorrow morning, better not sell out! Waiting overnight would be massively disappointing if it was only released later in the day.

Im goijng with the 16GB since owning an orginal Nexus one and the nexus 7 Pure android is the way to go, i cant see myself ever not getting a nexus from now on unless there is a huge spec jump.

That's fine. We can use that going forward. People throw about the term flagship all to easy. As you say, and to an extent I already agreed with, that's Google's flagship phone.

It is a silly argument, but at the same time, people are using terms without understanding what they mean, so no harm in clarifying them is there?

I think the Nexus 7 orders cost £10 for delivery on Play store. For that price I expect it's next day delivery (probably couriered?)

Decided I'm going to sit this one out. My SGS2 with extended battery is more than capable still. Hopefully official JB soon too.

I've also decided 8GB isn't enough and I don't have £280.

Enjoy F5'ing tomorrow guys :)

Well going off the Nexus 7 its £10 for delivery(as said above) and its done by TNT so I don't think there would be much different between that and the Nexus 4.
