Just down loaded this at work - a lot faster than my 2Mbit connection at this time of the morning it's not a problem to anyone.

My kingdom for a USB stick!

Hmm I can't install the security patch (SecUpd2008-001Univ.dmg).

Installed:
1. 10.5.2, including reboot and log on
2. Leopard Graphics update including reboot and log on.
3. Attempted security update - installer will not allow the update saying the MBP disk doesn't meet the criteria so I assume that's already part of the 10.5.2 update?

Yup I see the transparency is less, and I did like the almost transparent menus from before too. The new menus seem too 'in your face'.

Seems a bit zippier on desktop use.

Dont like the non-translucent menu drop downs. Goes against the menu bar feel. Time machine seems more stable, used to mess my Mac up a bit but seems a lot neater.

I agree, it used to try and load Word 2004 from my Time Machine backups when opening old Word documents

Doesn't do that any more thankfully.

Quicktime behaved the same actually, and other things, that was really irritating.

Yup, it has enough transparency that you can tell it's there, where as the latter doesn't have enough which could end up being mistaken for dirt on your screen or some such.

You can barely see the selected item through the second! :/

Forget all this transparency crap, according to MacRumors 10.5.2 updates how it behaves with Airport Extreme and attached NAS's?

Besides Time Capsule working fine with Leopard, what chances are thet ordinary NAS will work with Time Machine?

I don't see an update for Airport Extreme, so I hope its Leopard that has been fixed.

Initially I was thinking of getting a Time Capsule, but now reading it has improved, I might stick with my current NAS?

Cheers.

:)

OSX86 updated fine :)

How much is the upgrade Josh?

$99 so probably £99 :p

Hope it's like £50

I'm trying to get the Aperture 2 trial at the mo to see if it's worth it, but apple keep sending me 1.5.6 serial's. Which is very annoying, there site isnt updated very well at all, the tutorials have no files either.

Josh

Yeah he's allowed to show that he has a hackintosh, but not tell us how to do it or where to go to find information.

He's safe :)
