I'm liking Flight so far - but I think some of the scenery leaves to be desired - I mean this was one of the first challenges - you'd have thought they'd have made more of an effort ?

or do I have a setting wrong ?

really jarring before texture types, roads just stopping abruptly, is that tree shadow upside down ? Waterfall seems to flow upstream at the start of it too.

Yes I agree looks like the base land is made up of tiles that then have the 3D building & tress placed on top.
Your settings are not wrong, the upside down tree shadow is that one below the right wheel?
I have also seen the clouds in rows as posted above when doing a airport job last night on high settings it looks realy bad the Devs have been told about it.
I will pass on about the upside down trees.
The game is not finshed as $$$ comes before a finshed game as normal.

MS want to improve on Flight, this is why they have not locked the beta teaster out now that the game has been released. Thay are asking us to post feed back from what users are posting on public forums.
They can look at the main flight sim forums but forums like this one that are about all types of games they are not going to know about.

garsands - the tree almost right in the middle - may just be an optical illusion but looks like truck is facing direction downwards ..... (go directly down fromthe tail on the aircraft - that one)

but can't complain for free:)

Free or not it should be close to 100% as it's this free one that they need players to like so they will move on to the paid ones.

garsands true - I just don't like to critise anything properly thats free - its not really fair

I was looking at tree left of that one - same level but left of it
 
Terrible terrain textures ugh its like a game from the 80s. I know this is free but I agree with garsands: if the free one looks this rubbish it is not gonna help those who WANT to buy the expansion set!

Im just shocked its so bad. Or maybe Ive been spoilt by FSX+Orbx lol.

Flight is not free, its a micro-transaction business model, not a charity!

The free portion of the game can be thought of as a demo in a traditional sense, but MS hoped to make profits with their work. So criticism is very appropriate.
 
From all the YTvids Ive seen of Flight it looks so dead. No AI planes, no vehicles, no animals. Will be interesting to see what an update brings. Or are these things "enabled" only when you buy the additional scenery!

I do not have it (yet?). The content that is there at the moment AND without TrackIR support to add insult to injury... I dont see the point of wasting bandwidth onMS Flight at this stage.

There target market does not have track IR it is not a flight sim.
How hard is it for people to understand this very basic fact its not a flight sim it's a game.

It's also good to see that you are interested in Flight more the better.

Your head might explode when I tell this other shocker 'tow breaks' also do not work :eek: The whole world has gone mad no tow breaks aswell.

The best thing it has not cost me a penny & it does not matter if it fails on to the next thing if it does :D

X3 : Albion prelude has TIR, as does H.A.W.X and EVE Online and many other games (not sims)

It's a disgrace for any flying game not to support TrackIR let alone something like MS Flight.
 
New shocker just in, your going to need to have a set down first.

MS have no plans to add ATC to flight as it takes to much investment to do it right.
But being a GAME & not a SIM I don't see why ATC would be needed this is why the GAME has M/P.

Guys get over it, its just a GAME not a SIM more along everthing you post bad about Flight is 100% right as you keep on comparing it to the past flying games like FSX.

It's not going to have support for all the fancy addons you are not the user base it's aimed for, but it's good that you keep bummping the thread.

TrackIR is not a basic tool used by gamers

I have just looked up the price, the best price is £100 Flight has not been made for the small amount of gamers that have it.

It is not for hardcore games like a good few of us on here, I have TrackIR but I can't use it in FSX as its no good at 20-30FPS good in ARMA.

But I fully understand why you think you should beable to use it with flight.
This forum & the ones who post on here you, me & others are big in our gaming this is why we are members & are posting here but Flights main user base are not us.

This is why the download size is so small & why the FPS works so well, I can't make it go below 45 FPS how ever much I try even using the setting below. For a new game everything maxed I should be at 25 FPS.
This is done so it will work on low spec systems that us who are big in gaming no longer have.
You can even run Flight on a Ipad as someone has already done.

But you guys still don't seem to get it, but it's giving me something to do posting here so I am happy.

And posts like this one are so funny unless you are paying by the data rate you download.
It could be my new sig as I do need a witty one.
