£60 HP Stream 7 Windows tablet unleashed!
Added: Tue 30 Sep 2014
The new HP Stream 7 tablet may not beat the incredibly cheap Pipo Work W4 slate on price, but at just $99 (£60), it's not far off. It could well be the best budget tablet so far!
As the name hints, it has a 7-inch display, which puts it head-to-head with the original Tesco Hudl. A larger Tesco Hudl 2 is on the way, and to compete, HP has also unleashed the 8-inch $149 (£91) HP Stream 8.

One thing that they really should have sorted by now though is wifi connections when resuming/waking up, seriously guys, same issues as have been had on all Pro devices....
For me, it's games and image editing, but surface pro isn't there quite yet in graphics, or power usage. Hopefully Broadwell will get us there. So little point of buying a pro over RT and certainly not worth it for very occasional image manipulation. Not when pro is worse in a lot of areas, battery life, weight, heat. So unless it's powerful enough and you have a real reason, then Rt is a better option.
Ordered i7 SP3 even knowing about the overheating messages. I'm sure it will be fixed via software update.
Hoping to get it midweek.
The pro (3) is great for photo editing. Probably the best small decide out there for it. It's powerful enough to run all the photo editing software easily and the addition of the pen makes it a great device.
Unfortunately if you want to play high end games then you're never going to be able to get a powerful enough device in such a small form factor. See the Alienware 11 and the 14" gaming laptops for examples.
I've got a snugg case, fine for me....
