Yes, just the figure of 8 power cable to swap to a UK one.

Warranty is international.

Don't buy a type cover out there because it will be a US layout.

BTW I ordered my type cover, spare 48W power brick and a pen holder on Monday and they arrived today (Thursday). Didn't need to order the pen holder (it's black) though as the type cover comes with one (colour coded). I've stuck my pen holder on the SP3 itself just above the hinge on the right as I face the screen.

Anyone get a 128gb mSD card? for a Pro?

I assume you can jsut map it to be like a default drive for donwloads etc?

I bought a 64Gb one for hosting Dropbox and Google Drive. Neither likes being put on an SD card so I had to add it as an NTFS mount point to fool it into thinking it was a local drive.

I use a 64GB card in my pro for OneDrive, works like a charm, no messing around at all.

My i5 here is silent unless I'm playing games, then you can hear the fan.

I hear the i7s are quite noisy however.

I use Photoshop and Lightroom on the i5 256 and they run pretty good, they can drain the power a bit with Photoshop being the most intensive but its not too bad. If I intend on doing any editing then I ensure I have a full charge or do it whilst on the charger or limit my usage.

Its ok but I haven't really done anything too intensive, the 8gb ram version is a must id think

Okay so mine arrived today, all working, but the battery icon in the task bar has a small red x on it, and it says "no battery connected" how ever it does run if i pull the charger lead out.

Only had it a couple of hours though.

I'm also now stuck in a very long loop now of it restarting to install updates, starting to think I got a dud.

Well Ive done everything, jsut kept going in a circle of the exact same sequence, did a hard reset, then nothing, then a restore, still the battery will not work.

So off to Germany....yes...Germany!...to get it replaced, not amused for such an expensive device.

The initial update run took forever on mine, but I didn't have the battery issues you described.

Nope not seen the battery issues before either, where did you get the device from, I've never had any issues with any of the Surfaces I have sent back, not sure if its because they were all on advanced replacement or not, usually only a few days before the new device turns up..

If you do a search for " Battery not detected" it seems to be their most common problem.

Sorry Trig that doesnt make sense to me lol.

Im hoping what your saying is its only a few days till a replacement shows up, though it had to be sent to Germany, via UPS pick up at a local store, that does not fill me with confidence.

might sell my surface pro 2 128gb version. any clues as to what these are worth? it's barely been used and i realise now i only need a browser and data for my work, which the pro2 doesn't have. any clues on resell value?
