*** The Official Microsoft Surface Thread ***

Was a bit tight when I first got it but it's fine now...
And yes that's with the keyboard and pen in, then phone ipad mini and a usb stick in the slot.
Only thing about it that could be improved is the magnets that hold the flap down...

Seriously how do you fit that much stuff in there? With the SP3 in there, there's no more room for anything.

I had one for the Pro1/2 so was an obvious choice for me, but yes, you do need to use them for a while to get them to give enough for it to be less of a PITA...

Just got myself a Surface 3 Pro, the i3 64GB. Little disappointed with how crippled the GPU is (Buying the i5/i7 wouldn't help that) the throttling is ridiculous.

Oh well, with the pen I can play FM15 all day long.

Finding the lack of W10 RT tech preview lolworthy.

I got one!
I was in San Diego looking for The Container Store (buying a 'Sheldon' T-shirt folder for my sister) when I came across a Microsoft Store. Had a long play with the SP3, asked a few questions and walked out with an i5/128GB model for $999 (and a Snugg case).n
Didn't get stung by customs walking through the airport with it (and a Nexus 7 - one of the last available is California!) in my hand luggage.
Just need to get a UK keyboard for it now.
:D

I desperately want an i7 Surface Pro 3.

But the rumours of the specs of the Surface Pro 4 sound great:
- Powerful low power CPU
- Updated graphics
- Windows 10

I want my Surface Pro to do everything:
- Work (Word Process, e-mail, Matlab)
- Play (a few light games on low/medium settings)
- Tablet (for travel)

Im really tempted, I honestly think now an i5, 256gb version would be all that I need overall, not even really needing a PC.

If I can sort a networked drive, and sort streaming movies etc Via my Xbox One, I think I owuld be pretty much covered.

I'm already pencilling the Pro4 into next years budget. :D

Presuming it is still the same form factor as the Pro3 and users the same dock/keyboard etc, otherwise I might give it a miss..
Mind you I did say something similar when the Pro3 was announced and it as going to be different to the Pro1/2 format..

Really really want it to be fanless as well as having somewhere to stow the pen properly as per every other Surface before the Pro3.
I also think as well the back of the unit or keyboard should be magnetic so the keyboard when folded back sticks to the back of the device rather than being flappy..
