The Omni 10, it's 250 quid :p

No Windows RT tablet comes close, you can only get the original Surface at around that price (Well, 220-230, and it's inferior in every way :p)

It's anything with a login. And if you haven't used iOS 7 then maybe you need to tone down the talk of how Windows RT does so much more? People buying tablets don't really care what the 'potential' of a device is, they care what it can do right now. They aren't expensive enough to purchase as some sort of weird future investment, because by the time that investment pays off it will probably be broken. Therefore it's completely fair to judge RT on the App Store, which at the moment is a barren wasteland that somehow manages to look cluttered.
 
Buying a Surface pro on Friday with a Type cover and wedge mouse for £395, been looking at getting one for a while now, what's the general consciousnesses of them? pretty good?
 
Yeah the wedge mouse is bundled in with it so I won't use it anyway, I am looking forward to using Photoshop drawing with the pen and Wacom drivers.

Form factor is perfect for me.

Hmm, and it's a 16x10 screen... Which is 16x10 better than the stupid 16x9 ratio used by the Surfaces (for basically everything).

Just a shame it's a plastic fantastic. :(
 
No a classifieds section on another forum, and yeah it's a great price, I don't justify the price of the surface pro 2 to warrant getting it, just for a haswell cpu.

If I don't get on it with I can sell it on for not much less I suppose.
 
I've got hopes on the Surface 2 Mini, but I'm skeptical, they still have unsold Surface 1's, and in an ideal world, Surface 1 would get slashed to bargain basement prices with the Surface 2 Mini coming in where the Surface 1 was.

It also needs to be highly specc'ed as it'll be going against the Nexus 7 2014 (When it comes) and the iPad Mini 3. Not the Nexus 7 2013 and the iPad mini 2, but then if it's too good, people won't get the Surface 2. But MS's own launching has done this to them.

Unless they basically shrink the Surface 2 with a lower build quality?

I don't think MS will pull it off.

Surface RT, not Pro, which is a different beast all together.
The Surface Pro's very bargain basement.

And therein lies another problem, the original Surface Pro SKU's are still kicking at tiny prices.

There's no direct link. Visit the Microsoft Store website from a Windows XP installation using the redirect from QuidCo or TCB. That's assuming the cashback offers are still on.

The RT version is down to £229 by the looks of it.
 
So how can they price this?

You've got Surface Pro's at 399.99 (That every can get)
Surface 2's at 360 (With 200GB of Skydrive)
Surface 1's at 229.

It has to come between 360 and 229, so say 300, but then that's 50% more expensive than the Nexus 7 2013 (Which is due to be replaced) and comes up only just cheaper than the iPad Mini, which we know the iPad Mini will win at, because that's just what happens against similarly priced products against Apple.
