Why would you have screws and stuff in your pocket?!

I've never had a protector since Lumia 800, not intending to get one for the 920. So far, so good - I have a dedicated pocket for my phone only.

Work rather than pleasure.:p

I do try and be careful, but there will be a time when screws and phone come into contact eventually I suppose.

I think I've found a solution anyway, ottercase commuter, it covers round the edges where a screen protector doesn't reach. Probably best for me

I could not get 2 minutes use from mine before it froze up and that is straight out box its ok for Nokia to talk about new phones but they need to sort out current problems.

I do believe a lot of people reporting issues here got their stock from Germany? (Clove) A bad batch perhaps?

Mine froze a couple of times but that was because I had stupid Skype Beta. Since it went, perfect.

With Whatsapp, I'm getting average of 18 to 20 hours moderate use with my usual 2-3 hour binge (news, internet, youtube, twitter) in the evening.

Before Whatsapp, I get around 20 to 24 hours. There's something about that stupid app that's draining throughout the day but I need it as mates all uses them.

Both timings are done without Battery Saver turning on when 20%.

Oh by the way, I did a battery cycle a couple of evening, my phone turned off. I turned it on, it turned off. Turned it on again and it ran for another 2 hours before total drain.

I thought it was a very bad idea to let Lithium batterys drain completely? And cycling (full charge/discharge) is only done to calibrate the 'fuel gauge', a couple of times a year - not within weeks of buying the device?

Avoid doing too many deep discharges for the sake of calibration because this would wear the battery down.

How long are you guys getting on a full charge?

For some reason a little less than normal the last few days. Some app seems to be draining the phone a bit. But I've gone upwards of 30hours before. Normally it's a full day - similar to what Mr. Jones said.

Does anyone here have the yellow handset? Seems only P4U have it at present?

Thanks

I have the Yellow one, bought it from P4U with a rolling monthly T-Mobile contract at £26 pm, went home rang T-Mobile, cancelled the contract, ordered an unlock code from phonefunshop, unlocked it, put in my 3 sim.

Wouldn't have any other colour, so many people come up to me and compliment it and ask what it is.

That happened to me once and the connection from the plug cable to the charger wasn't actually clicked in although it looked like it was.

Try doing a soft reset of your phone as well - hold power and volume down until it cycles. You may have to reset the date and time afterwards but shouldn't lose your data.
