Mines being good at the moment, took it off the charging plate at 6 am yesterday morning and as I'm typing I have 37% (20hrs) remaining on battery widget.

I'm really tempted buy one. How customizable is the user interface? In terms of apps, are you satisfied? I'm coming from a back-in-the-day BB Bold 9000. I'm not an app man but I do expect stuff like Google maps or similar.
You've got 3 areas of customisation:
1) the lock screen and selection of notification icons
2) the back ground and tile colour
3) the size and position of the live tiles
I find that it gives enough options to make the phone experience personal, but not so much customisation that you end up constantly changing your UI to match that new 'cool' app/widget you just found (which is why I moved away from Android).
Yup. There is enough available for my uses, but if you want to use that new app everyone is talking about... this is not yet the OS for you.
Google have chosen to completely ignore WP8, so far. Recent market growth for WP8 is encouraging, but don't expect Google support any time soon. There are lots of 3rd party apps that give similar functionality though (e.g. gMaps)
The best advise I can give is to try and have a play with a WP8 handset. Some people just cannot get on with it as an OS, but others are really impressed with how everything is laid out.

I find Nokia Maps/Drive better, but gMapsPro is a good backup or for Googleheads.
Got replacement coming from Clove should be here tomorrow fingers crossed this one dont freeze.
Just checked as well, my replacement has shipped from Nokia and will be with me Mon - Im really hoping it will work as Im sick of the lockups and complete freezes. Im shafted if it doesn't as I have seen enough of WP8 to want to stay, but cant see me owning a HTC or ATIV and Im not sure Id trust nokia enough to get a 820 if the 920 doesn't work out
Happened to me last night too.
Previously it had been a loose cable, but not sure about last night. I din't pay close enough attention to see whether it was on the charger properly. But as this is a one off I'm willing to admit it was probably my fault.
Just picked up my white 920 today, and after getting it home and playing with it (it is the sex), setting everything up, I've noticed the speaker is horrible and distorted with crackling notifications and music at all volumes.
So I guess I got a dud and will have to return it, set the whole thing up again etc. Is there an easy way to back up the whole thing so I can restore it when I get a replacement?
E: Just discovered the backup option. Awesome. Loving the phone, wish I didn't have to go back to the store and exchange it

Well got my replacement all seems good so far like my first phone it gets quite warm top half i guess this is the norm.
Im on firmware 1232.2110.1244.3003 any ideas what this is? have no updates and guess its not latest update.
Edit: Need a case now whats the best i have the red version?

Sounds like your GPS is on, turn it off in the settings.
Quite a few of us here have the Rock or Meifeng cases. £5 from the bay, take a couple of weeks to deliver as they are coming from Honk Kong.
Flush fit, clip in and out, solid case with a nice sand blasted finish. They look really smart and I'd of thought a black case would look good on a red phone, but they do cases in all colours. My black one actually looks as if it is the back of the phone, so much so that the last person to comment actually thought it was.
Glad I read this as Its been a week of waiting for my rock case. Are there any descrete clips that allow me to mount this in my car when driving?
one last thing, is it possible to set the phone to not go into sleep when certain apps are open like plex remote etc, annoying having to unlock it and wait for the app to connect everytime I come to pause a film. I know its a bit of an ask or do I have to set the settings to not sleep after a few mins?

Sorry, no idea about clips, although some others in this thread have expresses a similar interest so might have found something.

I've just been cleaning the screen of my yellow peril and noticed that there is dust in the earpiece, no surprise there, what was a surprise was the dust in the front facing camera that my eyes were drawn to! Annoyed.
