Is there anyway to force all apps to update?
 
just been setting up me dads phone, is there any ways you can hide or lock the store and games icons? he doesnt want his grankids to be downloading random apps like they do on his nexus 7
 
I have just got a new 920 today and i cant get a mobile date connection. the phone works fine just data does not. I am on o2 pay as you go and the phone was brought new sim free and unlocked (tesco) The sim came from my nokia n8 which was in daily use ..

Any ideas ???

Anything BUT long in the tooth, every few months Nokia & Microsoft release some fancy new update so it still feels like a brand new phone. I really like WP8, they put a hell of a lot of effort into it.

Thanks for the direction! it was actually easier than that .. It was set to pay monthly and not payg ... All good now . Thanks.
 
anyone else having problems with the wireless charging slate after the update? left it all night with 60% charge woke to find it at 55%. the light on the slate is on when the phone is placed on it dunno whats up
 
All fine with GDR3 here, if anything I think it might charge slightly faster than GDR1.

I'd say you should soft reset your phone and unplug/plug-in your charger.
 
I was asked to log in to a windows account so i can update the phone and use the app shop, I was told to check my email for a confirmation code.. 24 hours later i have not received an email so 50% of my phones features are unusable .. Any ideas???

Just to add . This is all part of the first time set up of a new phone ..

So nobody got any ideas? I have re registered my phone twice now to my log in,both times it says check email for confirmation code still no e mail ... Its not in spam and its definitely the right email address. I am at a total lose why i am not receiving the mail and until i sort it i cant use my phone properly :(
