I installed BetterBattteryStats.

The first thing I noticed was that the phone was active and Wifi was on for the entire first hour I had it installed. Wifi was disabled (via the status dropdown) during that time. I since turned off the "scanning while wifi was off" option which the update seems to have activated. The problem continued. I turned off location services. The problem continues. I have checked the wakelocks and nothing has been on for more than a short while. I will have to continue monitoring.

I remember the days I barely got a 1/4 of that for home broadband o.O
 
This morning I got another update to my Samsung apps (auotmatic - never even gave me a chance to choose, like usual!), so I rebooted, then took the battery out and started it up again.

It's a bit early to tell yet as I've been using the phone all morning, so we'll see how it goes. Fingers crossed something worked.
 
Are you sure it's not just your area/network? So many poor signals on different handset replacements is beyond odd.
 
Well something is not reading right either way there. 0 bars means it's not getting any reception, are the APN settings correct? Also last time I posted I didn't see any mention of what the dBM values were (Settings > About > Status) I don't think!
 
Have you confirmed it's definitely the phone though by trying another sim in it? I'm still betting it's sim related as that kind of variation is too huge to be a hardware fault on several different replacements.
 
Im more and more impressed by the N3 each day :)

I got myself a cheap USB OTG cable the other week and tried it this evening. Everything i plug in the note recognises it and works........ Ive just tried my FIIO E10 usb DAC and that even works and sounds incredible.


Is it possible to play vids that are stored on my note via USB to say my seagate media player or a PS3?
