65% faster on average than a single 980 in two whole games isn't exactly what he seems to be claiming on stage.

This is definately Maxwell on 16nm with bigger clocks. Nice temps though (67 Degrees). What we need now is price and commercial availability....which we all know is coming last...if at all tonight.
TBH I am not that impressed with this reckon they are holding the big guns back (Nvidia) for when AMD releases their stuff.
Got to say Nvidia have impressed me with this lol. That stock clock speed is insane. Only a single 8 pin needed.

Doubling the clocks but 65% faster than a 980? If it was Maxwell it should be way way over 100% faster than a 980.

Bare in mind this is basically the 680 of this generation
The base clock is 1.6GHz, so they are releasing a card that can already overclock 2.1GHz.

Yeah and it looks awesome, god knows how good the full chip will be 0.0
The "guaranteed" boost clock is 1733MHz - actual boost of 2100MHz in this specific case but whether it can sustain it or not another matter.
