steady 140fps, with 1080p Ultra setting running on Vulkan, i know the game isn't very demanding, but it's good to see vulkan doing very well, i wasnt going to get doom but now i will, just because of vulkan :D, the new API patch should roll out shortly after the release.

Why is this gun so huge? like 3/4 of the screen is gun....

Not now no, but,in say a month I fully intend to buy a 980ti and won't pay over £200, old tech loses money hand over fist when the next generation comes along.

Are you high? Even the 780tis were going for circa 300 and have only dropped to below 200 recently. If you think you'll get a 980ti for 200 or below in a months time you're crazy. I'll eat my own *** if they do that's a stupid drop in price and if I where a maxwell owner I'd be fuming.

This means if you're right a 780ti will go for 100 or below. And tbh I'd much rather grab two 780tis at that price than anything else.

No offence to you at all btw just venting my frustration of that we're to happen.

The main point is it doesn't matter whether he'll pay more than 200, the cards are still going to sell more than that and he'll still not get one lol

They didn't give any indication of how much of the compute power would be available did they? In recent cards they've crippled the sh!t out of that to protect sales of their tesla cards.

The reason they didn't is because this is Maxwell on a die shrink and faster clocks. This is what I believe this card is and nothing to do with Pascal GP100 type architecture.

I'm also getting a bad feeling about the Ti versions never appearing this round but will come out on the next version of Pascal 1180, 1170 etc then we will see a Ti again, this Founders Edition is sounding like their version of Ti for this version.

Reason I say that is the GP100 is not designed as a Graphical card, it's a GPU yes but without any of the graphics stuff required like ROPS. So we won't see a Ti on that chip, unless the rumored GP102 is going to be that chip to make a Ti and Titan version or it could just be the 1180 for next year.

Maybe, maybe not, we'll see.

But, from what I'm seeing in places like the MM, the 9xx and everything else is going to take a bath with Pascal changing the game, I'll get one, maybe not in a month but not much after that I think, I can happily wait.

Will the new Nvidia cards have Asynchronous computing like AMD cards do?

Because it feels like a lot of developers aren't developing for DX12, in turn it acts as a performance limiter for AMD cards.

Tin foil hat, but I think Nvidia is holding DX12 hostage, like they did with ARK evolve, still no DX12 patch. Likely because Nvidia not having Asynchronous computing.

they can underclock it to stock 1080, i dont know if they will hand out only founder editions as samples, but if performance over last gen isnt that big, overclocking is a big selling point, they have to use it.

This is what I hope they do - have the review cards at both Founders and normal Edition clocks.

Going to ask if Hexus and Bit-tech are going to do this.

I hope this is not another Boost 1 scenario.

But the milking has got worse. The small die cards are now coming in two editions!: (

So we first had Titan cards for the large die cards and then the TI.

Now for the smaller die cards we have Founders and normal edition cards.

We never had a GTX680 or GTX980 Founders Edition.

I hope the other lot don't get ideas too.
