Found another GTX 1080 2K benchmark with Batman Arkham Knight.
I don't know if it fake or real just like the other video with 4 games, everybody screamed FAKE at GTX 1080 cooler leaked back in March so it turned out real at launch.
The '2K' gave it away that it's fake. Considering the person who made this video is unaware of what 2K resolution actually is, I doubt such an individual would ever be given a review sample by Nvidia. Either that or they wanted to make their trolling obvious.
2K resolution is a generic term for display devices or content having horizontal resolution of approximately 2,000 pixels. Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) defines 2K resolution standard as 2048×1080.
Concerning folks' interest in pricing of the GTX 1080, $599 works out as roughly £500, including VAT (but discluding non-US shafting). Which is disappointing considering the current price range of the GTX 980, so enjoy paying the early adopters tax folks!
Similarly, the $379 GTX 1070 translates to ~£320 (includes VAT), which is also a slight disappointment. There will be no cards in the £200-£300 price range it seems, which is currently the most popular price range (GTX 970 and R9 390 currently inhabit). Maybe it's just inflation, but these cards do have higher launch prices than the 900 series, the 970 was $50 cheaper on release.
Thus I'm now wondering how well the GTX 1070 will sell, now that it's above the £300 mark in price? I don't think it will be as popular as the 970 was, just due to pricing. Many folks base their purchases on budgets, not just performance. I can imagine a lot of folks looking to spend £300 max and then falling short of the 1070. I sure hope to hell OCUK does some amazing deals on these cards for folks who want to buy them. Me? I'll wait for Vega/1080ti before upgrading.
