Really? There's a far bigger gap between 1080-1440 than 1440-4K. The latter really makes 4K irrelevant till the prices plummet to the current 1440 price range. At the moment it's small gains at extortionate prices.

Sorry, but you got it backwards. There is a bigger gap between 1440 and 4K than 1080 and 1440. A much bigger gap.

Hype machine seems to be in overdrive:

Last year the 980 Ti sold for $649 (MSRP) in USA and i bought mine 1 week after launch as a pre-order due to lack of stock for £550 here at OCUK.

Based on this example only i estimate the following;

1080 Founders $699 = £620
1080 MSRP $599 = £520
1070 Founders $449 = £350
1070 MSRP $379 = £280

I think pre-orders will be available once the NDA is lifted tomorrow.

And this is what it should be based on todays exchange rates (xe.com)

1080 Founders $699 = £486
1080 MSRP $599 = £416
1070 Founders $449 = £312
1070 MSRP $379 = £263

If the mark up is that brutal for the UK then that sucks. And I will be buying one in the states.

Will be looking more to Tpu for a decent review.
Great thing about GPU reviews is that it doesn't matter at all what the reviewer thinks themselves. Read a bunch of different reviews in order to get the largest amount of measured results(and to corroborate results) and then make up your own mind whether it's worth it or not.

Remember to take into account that those US prices are before tax.

+1

I like Tpu due to the large amount of games they use. Overall though i like to read a lot of reviews and the ones that look out of the ordinary get removed from my overall opinion.

I like the way they have the summaries at the end, with all the benchmarks put into %. But sometimes their results are a bit different to other sites.

Will the Uk reviews come tonight?

Or is it US time which would make it something like 7am in the UK?

I think there percentages come out a little different due to there vast game suite. They tend to favor nvidia in they use older games as well as recent, recent games seem to be in AMD's favor but old games still count in what people play.

The 17th is all i know so not sure. It's not a full launch so it could be different from what we are used to.
