** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

Usually from people with mid range cards who don't have the funds for Top Tier gaming...

Green with Envy not Green with NV :p

You going to tell us how much money you have again?

Watching you throughout this ridiculous process has been quite amusing.

Next . . . :D

Starting to get tempted to wait for the 1070 and re-sell for a 1080Ti once that comes out. 1070 should be able to handle 1440p 60hz well anyways. We'll see.

Lets face it that review was utter ***p and need to wait for proper reviews... the settings he used were completely useless and some games did show massive gains.

Seems the case the 980ti owners that have sold cards as low £300 will be scrambling to buy back a 980ti .because no one in there right mind can justify spending another £200 maybe £300 if the 1080's are £599 ..

Just to get an increase of 15 to 25% at best.

Like i said before its prime time to buy an 980 ti £300 is a steal so for £600 2 x 980ti's aint bad if your into sli ...but the 2nd hand value will go up slightly once the dust settles.

this is why its all-ways best to sell earlier and i mean well in advance or sit tight on the card and wait for results

so yes Commiserations to the 980 ti sellers

well thats the risk of playing the market, you guesstimate, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
i usualy wait for the reviews, then the feedback, then find a way to hide the purchase from my slightly better half, it's a tedious process :D

Wind it in...You don't even know about overclocking or anything yet..

I'll wait for the Anantech reviews.

I went off Anandtech a bit when they stopped doing benches for the second card in SLI. The missing 970 SLI results paint a picture of interference from Nvidia to me.

I'm not sure whether it was because they would have shown that for the most part 970 SLI was so much faster than a single 980, and only slightly more expensive, or whether they were trying to hide the 3.5GB issue which might have shown up in 4K benches.

Either way they didn't publish a full set of results which makes me question their independence.
