I'm not arguing the fact that the 1080 is faster than the 980ti..

It damn well should be!

Its just not worth it. On any level. Its a joke price and quite frankly insulting :p

Having just spent north of £600 I would be so deflated by it.

People saying it's not worth it or people with 980 Tis are silly for getting the 1080 I think it's up to the person buying the card to decide whether it's worth it. As for the Ti I had one and I'm getting a 1080 why? Because I played the market right I bought my classy Ti for £580 with 4 free games
Witcher 3 batman arkham knight dying light and metal gear solid price those at £20 each that's £80 worth and then I sold the Ti for £500 so I've broke even the 1080 FTW cost me £597 so in theory it cost me £17 which I thinking is fantastic spending just £17 going from a 980 Ti to 1080 :D

Since when can you get a GPU with 4 free games? I thought they spaced out the free games depending on when you buy

I think we can say his is an absolute best case scenario, 580 classified with 4 games, got 580 back. Almost impossible to do better than that!

Surely that is just a matter of what you are upgrading from?

If you're going from a 980Ti to a 1080 I would probably call you out for being silly (it's your money spend it on what you like however). If you're coming from 7950 for instance (me), you would be looking at nearly 3x the performance. The question therefore is is 3x the performance worth £550-£600?

Why would you call me out for being silly?

I can see a pretty substantial performance increase!

In SLI the delta should be even bigger.

Yeh the difference between 50-60 and 65-75 fps does not sound like a lot, but its the difference between jerky looking and smooth looking at 3440x1440.

That's just *******"

What?

For example 50 > 65 or 60 > 78

For me that is the difference between "I will wait till I have a better GPU to play this" and "yes this looks ok"

Yes OBVIOUSLY 100 or 144 fps looks better, but still 70 looks night and day better than 55 for example.

How is that b*****t?
