It does seem a bit harsh to exclude someone who has a genuine reason and hasn't missed an entry so far for the sake of 12 mins.
I vote to allow his entry - I've no chance of winning after joining so late in the game but it's all for fun anyway.

I understand if it's not allowed - stupid mistake on my part. For some reason I had 8:30 in my mind as the deadline.
