At least there's no conspiracy theories this morning centred around the use of pencils.

But smugness is unbearable either way. This was a referendum with no right or wrong answer. Smugness is totally unjustified. Leaving could work out well, or it could be a complete disaster. Taking comfort in being on the side of the majority is largely foolish.

Yes absolutely. I'd love to see the leadership give us some reassurances and calm about this. It is time for strong leadership. I'm disappointed Cameron backed down, I'm not DC fan, at all, but at least stand up and earn your keep as a leader!

Same for Corbyn, he should've stood up & been a leader. I'dve thought as an old school left winger he'd be against the EU, but it seems to me he wanted to remain to keep his party together at the expense of his principles & it's weakened him as a leader.

Think it's shown just how poor a leader he really is. I think a lot of the leave votes are actually a protest against him.

I think you're probably right.

He can't - how can he lead the country into a place he himself doesn't want to take it? That's not good for anyone. He's done the right thing falling on his sword.

Because you've been elected and you need to stand up, brush yourself off, and do what you promised to do. I just think it's a cop out, we all have to do things we don't want to do in life....

Time to look for a Visa to leave the UK I thinks! :p

Nah, in the long term I don't think staying/leaving is going to change anything in the modern era of global commerce but if anything the UK will become weaker due to less trade or less external companies showing interest in the UK. That is depend of what laws the super stable UK government come up with...

As for immigration and spend on Aid and all that jazz will remain the same as it is now pretty much, maybe a few percent down here and there but that will be the same for UK exports causing secondary job issue for the higher qualified workers.

My biggest concern being a Brit is this ends up opening the door for UKIP and all the other crazy governing bodies taking control of some key elements of the UK.

You're telling me Britain has no contingency plan?

Surely people wouldn't vote leave if there was nothing in plan to have reassurances that Britain would be better off or at least not worse off?

I believe no contingency plans were in place because they truly didn't believe a leave vote would win.

Now they are on the back foot with things changing by the minute.

Thank the lord he's not an MP and this exit vote makes it even less likely that he will ever be!

There is no requirement for Government ministers to be MPs. Look it up. Absolutely no requirement at all.

There is also no requirement for the PM to actually be an elected MP either, by the way.

Farage will probably be in the government. Why wouldn't he be (if he wants it)?

I think a lot of Leavers voted to stick the middle finger up to the Government.

For which I can't blame them at all. Many people have been screwed by this gov't.

I'm just sad at what has resulted.

and what has resulted ? nothing !

oh were screwed its all over. hold yourselves together.nothing much has changed yet we need people to lead uk do the right things and stop whinging about its screwed.

being negative and doom and gloom is not going to help anything. we may even end up a lot better we just don't know yet.

we haven't a plan about what going off. are people this stupid ?

of course they plans.

for the general masses of not super mega rich it should be better for us.for the mega toffs they going to sweat. good.
