utterly delusional, in fact you're being as delusional as the leave voters you're criticizing... this was made so clear and really isn't hard to understand - there won't be a second referendum, this referendum is it - that was clear before the vote and doesn't change afterwards because you don't like the result and you've seen an interview with some thick people from Barnsley who voted leave

Lol, it's not hard to see that there are people who are regretting their vote to leave, and even in this thread a few members are even admitting to it, how is this being delusional?

Nothing was made clear, one of the biggest feats was this magical £350m figure which the political parties of leave campaign were promising to be injected back into the likes of the NHS, oh wait that was shortly admitted to being a 'mistake'.

Not watched the interview from Barnsley, what you on about mate?

Get off your high horse, I've just made my opinion, no need to get into a hissy fit about it, none of us are expert politicians here who know how to run the country, so stop acting like what you believe is the truth and is the only answer.

I've merely stated my opinion, nobody here is right or wrong.

2 years from the time article 50 is implemented.
it can be extended to a maximum of 6 if every eu country agrees, I cant see that happening at all. they want us gone asap or to go back on our choice. either we I cant see every country agreeing to an extension.

Ahh, thanks for explaining that

Yes, you're far from alone.

I just wanted ideally the eu to get a kick up the backside, reform itself but then the night before junker came out with the statement which basically said they wouldn't do any more and that stupidly pushed me to out a bit more. On top of that all the polls ect were looking overwhelmingly remain so I stupidly thought a vote the other way would hopefully make it closer so they listened.

All I feel I've now done, especially after seeing the fall out is make my families future, especially my daughters much worse.

Utterly stupid. We should never of had a vote on this on the back of the last crash in the first place but my stupid choice is something I and many others like me will have to live with.

Looking forward to a break up of the UK, a rise in fuel costs, uncertain housing market (my purchase has already stalled since yesterday and looking uncertain to continue), jobs market and based on a level that some leave voters would understand - duty free allowances coming back in ;), a big sarcastic thank you from me.
The best bit, immigration will continue to be an issue

There's nothing fundamentally differently about the UK, we're all still going to work and doing the same things we did before.

Typical Britain tbh, all panic over something that's going to take the best of two years to be completed.

eu already has bent over backwards for us, its stupid.
UK should have woken upto globalisation and the future, rather than looking back with rose tinted glasses at history.
but the population has never been forward thinking, time and again we vote in regressive governments.

Hardly surprising when the system is biased towards a couple of incumbents who both represent the centre in order to create the biggest chance of winning power. Hence the ennui surrounding politics for many people.

It's not free money though is it? It's the fraction of the money we get back from UK taxpayers' contribution to Brussels. I support the principle of investment in the poorer areas of the UK and envisage that continuing when the Brexit process has finished. Incidentally, I think there are lot more "poorer regions" of the UK than the EU does.

I do not see the UK government promising to continue dishing out that money to all the places and people that currently receive grants. It will vanish into the black hole of generic spending on whatever the current government feels like.

On top of that there's an exceptional chance we still make payments to europe so we get easier trade just like everyone else not in the EU wanting the trade benefits.

The most miserable part of it all is that there is no plan whatsoever and since DC is walking away from this train wreck, no PM and some lousy options to replace him.

I don't mind a second vote, but there will be more salty tears, as the leave vote would rise, people know now that leave can win, betas that gave into the fear will vote leave as they want to be on the winning team for a change, plus the stay puft man didn't destroy the city of London.

Given the wide reaction of fear and doubt from leave voters since the vote, realisation that they'd been duped, clearer understanding of just what they've done and regret in doing so you're gonna have to do a bit more than call people betas to convince anyone of what you're saying.

They even got a 2 day extension to register to vote. They can have absolutely no complaints.

Indeed, and register they did, we had the highest voter registration ever, so they could have voted, and some didn't, like every election 1 in 4 didn't vote.
It was a bloody good turnout, there was a result, move along and deal with it.

we'll get revolt anyway won't we ?

By the losers potentially against this specific scenario...

However if our government goes against a vote then you are essentially attacking not only the people's decision but also the cornerstone of our democracy and will lead to a much bigger issue

Still feeling good :D Economic reaction wasn't as bad as predicted, European countries haven't gone crazy, and no civil unrest.

it is up to us to invoke article 50... though we are going to leave the EU

Boris has no reason to call a referendum, in fact it would potentially be political suicide

Depends on the state of the labour party & UKIP at the time, could well end up with gains made for the conservatives. If Corbyn stays, boris gets the party working together, and UKIP starts to fade, then the tories will be looking strong.

we have woken up to globalisation and the future... we certainly don't need to tie ourselves to the countries immediately adjacent to us, especially given the serious risks currently facing several of them

Maggie would be proud of the result

If a second vote did happen and remain won by the same small margin. Would you then say that's what it is or would you agree for re-re-vote? Even if the outcome went back towards leave?

The fact he uses the word "beta" in this discussion is already telling, don't even acknowledge him.

No she wouldn't, she later backflipped on her 'No, no, no' and said she now embraced the EU:

Even the Sunday Times ran a headline stating that Thatcher would have been opposed to Brexit.
