Everything that was wrong? Like what? I don't wish anyone else harm, I just know they will be.

Personally I'm excited about the exit, because I'm a shark so I know I will do well from it, but that's the irony - most people who voted against it won't, and there's just something poetic about that.

A shark that can't string together a grammatically correct sentence. Do you get paid well for that?

It's pouring down to rain in Gloucester! I wanted to go out. The salty tears can't be contained in London! We are all doomed!

It is isn't it!
Indeed, it almost looks like more are petitioning from areas that voted leave than from areas that did not, but it is probably down to population bias.

-edit
Either way, I hope they table this for debate first thing Monday morning Cameron stands up, states there was a petition regarding a second referendum, we considered that, we're not doing that, move along.
Just to put the whole stupid idiocy to bed.

People are being so toxic across all social media, It is rather disgusting.

Bed has been made, Lets sleep in it as a united country!

I have lost count how many people i have removed from Facebook due to being entirely racist or disgusting in manner.

People going on about the anti-Muslim rhetoric, well judging by the results in places like Luton, Birmingham and Bradford, it seems that Muslims themselves were none too fond of the EU.

People are just worried about the future, understandably so. It was a very close vote, which means the country is split down the middle. Whichever way the vote went, being this close was bound to cause problems.

Yes we need unity. But you don't get unity by throwing around childish "deal with it", "don't be salty", "you're butthurt" quips. The Leave camp need to take the lead and show everyone WHY the future will be brighter. Not just saying "it'll be all right in the end". When peoples lives are on the line, that level of vague platitude doesn't cut it.

Remember, this isn't a general election result that can be undone in 4 years time if you don't like the government. This is a decision which will last at least a generation, if not much longer.

It's literally impossible to reason with Remainers, they're just spouting constant abuse on Facebook and acting as if the English Defence League has won a General Election. They will not even remotely try and understand that there are solid arguments on the side of Leaving, such as Democracy, Sovereignty and immigration numbers.

I'm at my wits end with this petition. If they are so upset, why didn't they go and vote in the referendum instead of moaning at the result because they couldn't be bothered?

I believe the petitions committee look at it on Tuesday.

Lets not forget the leave campaigners have retracted many of their claims and called for a second referendum also.

Just ignore them then. They'll calm down once people don't retort.

Cern 's post is spot on. People are just worried and behaving in a reactionary way.

Petty squabbling is the last thing we need at the moment.

I think people are sick of voting, at any level.

I wasn't going to vote in this because I know it's pointless, but I voted and started reading. This thread is just filled with bitter people, so I joined in to bring a bit of balance to this dodgy thread.

Those are all terrible reasons in context of the economic consequences.

Those in favour of remain should collectively concede that leaving the EU was the right thing to do if and when the pound surges up against the dollar and the euro to better rates than when the referendum was announced (i.e. far greater than $1.60 to the pound).

The facts so far: worst rates for 31 years ($1.36 to the pound) and, in one day, a 7% fall in the FTSE250 i.e. the one that isn’t grossly skewed by international entities. Plus a further backdrop of at least two years of guaranteed economic uncertainty.

So until that day please forgive my pessimism and resentment in what seems to have been a truly awful decision :p
