A shark that can't string together a grammatically correct sentence. Do you get paid well for that?

It's always funny to see people who are all about "prosperity together" (and other such nonsense) show their true colours and not be able to discuss anything without throwing insults into the mix.

Project fear from the leave side?

The Leave fear campaign was based on two main lies:

* 'Immigrants will steal your job, and your neighbourhood will be filled with hordes of Muslim darkies because something something open borders out of control. Also, terrorists something fake asylum seekers, something something. Because of reasons.'

* 'The EU is collapsing and it will take us with it unless we get out now.'

Boris Johnson invoked the spectres of Napoleon and Hitler in his anti-EU interview with the Sunday Telegraph, which just goes to show the depths to which Leave campaigners were prepared to sink.

Just ignore them then. They'll calm down once people don't retort.

Cern 's post is spot on. People are just worried and behaving in a reactionary way.

Petty squabbling is the last thing we need at the moment.

Indeed, and I do agree with Cern's point about the Brexit campaign needing to provide a clear way forward. I think that will help ease fears, assuming they can do it convincingly...

I think everyone is in shock at the moment, whatever side of the fence they're on.

I'm at my wits end with this petition. If they are so upset, why didn't they go and vote in the referendum instead of moaning at the result because they couldn't be bothered?

This is my thought exactly.

It comes from a large number of young people in this country who want everything done / decided the correct way for them. Who can blame them? The EU has helped create that environment over the past 15 or so years.

This will hopefully engage everyone in the democratic process from now on, and for that reason alone, this referendum result will benefit society.

People are being so toxic across all social media, It is rather disgusting.

Bed has been made, Lets sleep in it as a united country!

I have lost count how many people i have removed from Facebook due to being entirely racist or disgusting in manner.

Are the "disgusting" people the ones that wanted to leave?

Sad part is, I recognise a lot of usernames. I don't forget things easily.

The few here acting like children calling people salty etc were basically posting borderline outright racist nonsense in certain threads relating to immigration.

Don't think I haven't noticed all of you.

Maybe people call you racists and bigots because that is what some of you may be going by your posts at least.

Just my 2 cents.

Are you the morale high ground police on here? I know your names, I will remember everyone of you. My goodness are you serious?

Do you even know what a bigotry is? 'A person who is intolerant towards those holding different opinions'

So the vote goes against you and you can not accept their opinion. Do we need to pass your test before we can vote?

Just my 2 pence ;)

I haven't posted or commented on anything, mostly to save myself 6 hours worth of Facebook posts after work when I could be gaming or napping on the sofa 8-)

They opted to do whatever is required to get us out of the EU. When you are desperate to provoke an extreme change on a population, it's often the only way to pull it off.

It's not morally right, but the outcome may lead us to a better future.

Seeing as Leave have never shown a clear way forward I don't see in the slightest how you expect them to conjour one up now.

Gove stood on national television several times and basically lied to the entire british population along with Boris and Farage about main points they vocalised for leaving the EU. how can the result stand if BritExit Leaders are now admitting they lied to win the vote.

Because AFAIK we have no laws that require politicians to tell the truth when campaigning.

I'm curious to know how you know the petition was set up by people who didn't bother to vote. This is a unique insight.

Many discussions on my train into work on Friday along the lines of 'terrible isn't it', 'I know', 'how did you vote?', 'I didn't'

Because they absolutely have to.

I think we would have one already if both campaigns hadn't descended into headline grabbing nonsense.

+10

Facebook was probably the biggest vehicle Remain had... The kids really don't understand that we did it for them.
