Ironically enough the places most "affected" by immigration (I.e. The places with the most immigrants) were the places most likely to vote remain, while the places with the least European immigration were most likely to vote leave... Perhaps perception is worse than actual. I think the media have a lot to answer for in this.

The media should be the British peoples next target.

I've never felt prouder to be British. It's just a shame that being proud of this decision has left me labelled as a racist and uneducated.

I had to call my university yesterday to double check that as a leave voter, my first in computer science is still valid

You're not racist or uneducated for voting leave. Nobody has said that.

However a lot of people who did vote leave are uneducated, look at the stats.

I'm sure some of them are racist too, I can't see many racists voting to remain in a multicultural group such as the EU.

No we are not, we had a better deal than Norway before.

But go read it up, Norway trades with the EU, not a member. Seriously, I'll even link you.

I know about Norway thank you and it changes nothing. Their economy is nothing compared to ours

The EU are not going to treat the 5th largest economy the same they treat Norway (23rd largest), as much as they like to play sour grapes and say they will now.

Go read up on the facts yourself

There is no bargaining, it is what it is. I've accepted it the moment it was announced and Article 50 is inevitable.

However I am continuously are disappointed at how ill informed a lot of people are.

As marches are being planned in London and elsewhere to try and overturn the vote obviously counter ones will want to confront them so we could be having a bit of civil unrest quite soon.

We need to trade with the EU more than they need to trade with us.

We might be 5th largest, but how does that compare to the economy of the EU as a whole? We are a small fish.

There is no way we will come away from this with a better deal, that would send a message to every other EU member that we have done the right thing and give other countries reasons to leave. The EU will not let that happen, they would want to set an example of us.

Educated in EU law and economics?

Or educated in Highlanders?

It's not the same.

You sink to this?

You have basically called 50 percent of the UK population stupid for voting leave....

We existed fine before EU membership. And we will again.

The model is broken based on ransom payments and bullying.

EU good riddance.

You are nothing to me. I don't respect your opinion on anything. You can't play guitar and are nothing but all the gear and no idea.

This is now prevalent in your lacklustre posts on UK and EU politics.

You do know that not having a degree isn't the same as being uneducated, and you're not very intelligent for generalising people in the way you are

I absolutely agree with you. What we will never know, is how much of the leave vote was made up by these people, how much sway it had. I'd - from a purely curious view - like to see if this hypothesis turned out to be a big factor.

Resorting to childish personal attacks which are irrelevant to the argument doesn't help your case mate.
