So basically, Labour get in and then totally ignore the referendum result?

I don't want a government like that.

It is impossible to ignore now.

All we've done is taken back all the power the EU(NOT Europe) had over this brilliant country, and put it back in our own democratic government.

The MPs don't know what's up or down at the minute, because they are startled, once they actually understand what this means they may actually start doing good for a change, in fact they'll have to.

Welcome to Independent Britain, one of the very few truly democratic countries in the World.

However a lot of people who did vote leave are uneducated, look at the stats.

I've already mentioned it earlier in the thread but I'll say it again... the only reason the vote was so close is because so many uneducated people voted for remain.

If the lines were so clear with regards to informed professionals vs uneducated plebs, leave would have won by a landslide, not a few percent.

You sink to this?

You have basically called 50 percent of the UK population stupid for voting leave....

We existed fine before EU membership. And we will again.

The model is broken based on ransom payments and bullying.

EU good riddance.

You are nothing to me. I don't respect your opinion on anything. You can't play guitar and are nothing but all the gear and no idea.

This is now prevalent in your lacklustre posts on UK and EU politics.

I didn't call 50% of the UK population stupid, I call them ill informed.

We existed fine back before the EU, sure, in a world without internet, without Amazon, without cheap flights, in a different world and a different political and economical climate.

Show me some actual evidence than just blind faith.

There is no way we will come away from this with a better deal, that would send a message to every other EU member that we have done the right thing and give other countries reasons to leave. The EU will not let that happen, they would want to set an example of us.

And you are happy to be controlled in this way?

The sooner the EU goes the better.

Why should any country control any other...Its like a soft core invasion.

I really don't get this logic from remainers. It's effectively accepting the EU is like the mafia, and if you leave you're going to get your knee caps fractured, so that means you should stay. Sounds like a great club. Even though a lot of other members want out too.

The club is broken, and needs to change for good. Staying in it for fear of being punished is twisted logic.

Coming from a member of "project salt" and project "someone help me clear these toys up"

Come back with your gloating when project fantasy has actually achieved something other than plunging our currency and economy into a short term depression, I won't hold my breath too long though because I get the feeling it'll be a long old wait

We had a seat on the table !

We now do not.

They are a larger economic trading bloc than us. You might think we are in control but the EU holds more cards than we do when it comes to any deals.

Maybe the EU will actually accept it has to reform when a few other countries want a referendum as well. Then we can create something worth joining with a constitution that limits it's powers to being about trade.

This is arrogance...On a grand scale.

That's not true. Switzerland is about to put controls on EU migration, they will be able to continue to trade with the EU. Canada is about to sign a free trade deal with the EU that doesn't include free movement. We can always ask to be in the EEA with controls on free movement - worst they can do is say no.

Actually, that's not true. Switzerland has been given a time limit to either honour or discard its vote. If it goes through with it then they will no longer be enjoying the benefits of current treaties and will have to re-negotiate, and free movement isn't a negotiable for the EU.

Bolded important parts. Leavers are still in denial but they'll face reality eventually - they can't avoid it, it's just gonna hit them too hard.

Just look at the ones in this thread, they haven't even realised it's not the 5th largest economy in the world anymore either!
