Ironically enough the places most "affected" by immigration (I.e. The places with the most immigrants) were the places most likely to vote remain, while the places with the least European immigration were most likely to vote leave... Perhaps perception is worse than actual. I think the media have a lot to answer for in this.

This is completely untrue. Boston had the biggest % of people voting to leave the EU. Coincidentally, they have the highest concentration Eastern Europeans in the UK.

I think we have a problem bigger than Brexit at this point, money is no doubt flowing back into Asian markets, which are at danger of Chinese internal issues.

I think global growth will stall.

They just lost their second biggest economy, I would say a lot of that is down to how they've behaved. Many more people in Europe want out too, they want a trade focused friendly cooperation agreement between sovereign states, not a single Government with no accountability. The Eurozone is in crises, the Euro is heading for failure, and Eurozone stocks are down a lot more than UK stocks following the vote.

Any remaining "control" the EU has is diminishing. It needs to change, and change for good.

keep kidding yourself, the EU will still be here while the UK is still smashing its poor into the ground with tax hikes and increased cost in living.

Your many more people in Europe is mainly centralised around extreme right wing parties in Germany, France and Holland, all of which will never be in a position to actually effect any of the garbage they throw around. The shambles that is going on in the UK will provide more than enough reason for the rest of the EU governments to steer well clear of repeating the same Cameron induced fiasco.

You're not racist or uneducated for voting leave. Nobody has said that.

However a lot of people who did vote leave are uneducated, look at the stats.

I'm sure some of them are racist too, I can't see many racists voting to remain in a multicultural group such as the EU.

So unless you went to university you are stupid, probably a racist and your vote shouldnt count?

I left education at 16 to look after my mother with cancer, I never got the opportunity to return. I'm doing pretty good for myself, most of the people who work for me have degrees but i guess even stupid people get lucky.

I guess you are thinking we want to know when do we start building the wall and putting gun mounts on to warn people away?

And they will change, without any input from us and they might prosperous, without us in it.

I want to be optimistic but I need more than this, more than just "we did fine before the EU" "British spirit" etc.

The EU hasn't changed in 50 years, and its problems have been getting bigger and bigger. What makes you so sure it will change now?

I'm 29 and never mentioned once in these debates about "British spirit" or whatever you're referring to. I voted leave so we could be a self governing democracy, something a lot of other people (in increasing numbers) in Europe want too.

I've already mentioned it earlier in the thread but I'll say it again... the only reason the vote was so close is because so many uneducated people voted for remain.

If the lines were so clear with regards to informed professionals vs uneducated plebs, leave would have won by a landslide, not a few percent.

It's just impossible to disagree, when I talk to the people I know in the north east and north west, so many of the people voting leave were all totally uneducated and totally uninterested in the general day to day affairs of "are countreh"

From my perspective, (as quoted by someone on Radio 4 this morning) the government gave everyone a free punch, the electorate decided to kick them to death instead.

Until the stock market recovers, not sure why you are so happy.

Until then, I am still very concerned.

The break up of the EU is not based on blind faith...Its just a matter of time...Its already broken.

People are sick of it...And its not just the UK that are...

You think if France had a referendum they would vote to stay?

BS!!!!!!!!!

The EU is based on entrapment. We have to take the rough ride to freedom first..others will then follow.

No, they can't spend £350 million because there isn't £350 million to spend. That number is a complete and utter lie.

When you say a complete and utter lie, I do believe there is still a sizable net amount that is in the EU favour? A quick google suggests £120 Million - £188 Million..

That is £248 Million after the most obvious rebates, then some more thrown in for various 'stuff' the EU gives back via other channels..

The £350 Million is the gross amount, which was disingenuous but it's almost as if people think that the £350 million had absolutely no basis at all.

“I want to speak directly to the millions of people who did not vote for this outcome, especially young people, who may feel that this decision in some way involves pulling up a drawbridge,” he said. “I think the very opposite is true. We can control our own borders in a way that is not discriminatory but fair and balanced, and take the wind out of the sails of the extremists and those who would play politics with immigration.”

Boris Johnson a man who is very much pro immigration.
