Question

I really want to get the new Batman Lego sets that are coming out, they're out in the states at the moment but I can't find anything on any Uk sites is it possible that the sets will sell out before they make their way over here or are some sets just not released over here?

The crazy prices on eBay for the original Batman sets are insane

Don't worry, they'll definitely be coming to UK (and everywhere else for that matter). You just might need to wait until January.

To keep any eye on when they'll be available bookmark http://www.brickset.com/ great for news about upcoming sets and availability.

I'm definitely getting http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=4526-1 meself :)

I happened to mention to the Mrs last year that, as a kid, I always wanted a lego technic JCB, but never got one. I did have loads of other lego, that sits in my parents' attic to this day, along side hornby railway stuff and scalextrics.

Then for Christmas last year, she got me said JCB.

At first I was like :) but now it's just a dust collector I'm like :(

Might try to secretly flog it, and put the cash towards an IB upgrade next year. Got a mini technic bulldozer too.

Got my boyfriend some Lego Technic for Christmas as a bit of a blast from the past for him, he completed it about 10 minutes ago and is now pushing it round the front room making car/truck noises. Regression to childhood is complete :D

2 TIE Fighters
X-Wing
Midi-Scale Millennium Falcon
Midi-Scale Star Destoryer
2011 full size Millennium Falcon (a 2 day build)
2 Ender Speedbikes
Y-Wing
Snow Speeder

Just need the AT-ST, AT-AT and the Death Star now

Didn't get any Lego for Christmas but did take the opportunity to rescue mine from my parents garage when I was visiting there. 5-6 big boxes full now at various points around the house to be fiddled with when I have the time ... :)

Just had an epic idea.......

Lego PC case anyone? as long as you stuck it together properly you could attach the motherboard to the case easy enough right?

Obviously it would need to either be a low end machine or watercooled, as I assume the high temps would most likely melt the lego

What about earthing it as the case acts as the earth. you'd need lots of individual earth wires for each of the standoff pegs

Loads of people have made lego computer cases, just google it and you'll see loads on the images page :)

As to earthing the motherboard... I've never had an issue running a machine with a motherboard just sat on top of a bit of cardboard, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has ran a machine outside of a case without grounding either!

My brother build his PC into a piece of MDF works fine, he says it's easy to clean and easy access cos he switches hard drives round and cooling is ace no need for extra extractor fans :D
