***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I just got my 5 year old into this over the last week. Fortunately he still have Lego from my eldest son.

My parents, wait for , this dumped all my Lego from when i was a kid.. None of the pre-fab specific stuff. Tons of it there was, all in landfill somewhere now :(

Merging the two lego threads

I'll start by posting a pic of all the instrucions they have (and the big tubs of lego that contain all the pieces) then in about 6 months will post the finished articles. :D

One of them is getting more on sunday for his birthday (the big lego police station).

It's nothing on the sheer scale of awesomeness of the Star wars stuff/Technic model 8880 (which I have wanted for years!) but it's awesome that they have such a massive collection of Lego each. I love it, but spending hours finding one piece is so frustrating.

My mum kept all my lego, I have massive tubs of it somewhere, I also had the big pirate ship posted earlier in the thread, but it's in pieces and no instructions to build it.

They do a lego 'The Avengers' set now

Already found it and wanting to order this one xD I think my three more favoured themes would be Star Wars, DC and The Avengers. Oh, and probably the Lego Lord of the Rings, as that's coming Summer 2012....

Although I definitely want the mindstorms and powerfunctions stuff. They look really cool. If I'm feeling like a real child, I might get a Racers set as well :)

I still think I'm sure I've got a couple of the Lego Star Wars sets at home. Just really hope the parents haven't chucked it...

I have crates of the stuff from when I was a kid, I lot of it still at my parents place. The a good few years back (christ it was actually 12 years) I picked up some of the larger Star Wars UCS stuff to decorate my old office (X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Blockade Runner).

Then didn't touch it for years until my daughter showed an interest, she has managed to build up a fair collection of the Lego City type stuff. Building those with her has sparked an unhealthy interest in it again and I couldn't resist the temptation to get some of the technic stuff. This year I've managed to acquire the following:-

9395 Pick-Up Tow Truck
9397 Logging Truck
8053 Mobile Crane
8110 Unimog u400 (Such and epic set, it's huge!)

Need a lego hulk!
Only comes as part of an expensive pack at the moment. A few are on ebay for around £15-20 :(

not buildable, would be destroyed constantly.
Its the helicarrier pack Hulk that I want (it's in my sig) and other than paying for the pack there are some individual figures (from the pack) on ebay but not cheap.

Yeah, it seems that the individual figures sell on Ebay are from the pack and therefore come in around £10-15 each anyway...

Just treat yourself and buy the Helicarrier breakout :p

Nah, the rest of the pack i'm not interested in and I know my boy wouldn't be either. So couldn't justify it.
Am watching one of the ones on ebay though, so might be tempted should it not rocket in price :D

Just grabbed a few shots of what pieces I have left still built - loved the stuff when I was a kid. Always remember my grandparents bringing me home a kit from their trips to the USA and going to visit them when they arrived home, for the hour we spent with them most of the time I had the kit half complete!

Cant remember what order I got these in, but this brings back the most vivid memory of going to MGM studios and walking into the star wars building and mum and dad let me pick a kit, had to be the biggest most expensive one too < but what did I know LOL

And my all time favourite: My Technic Tow Truck
By far the most enjoyed build ever, the scale features on it just left me amazed at a young age, between the V6 engine, working diff, pneumatics, boom etc. Shame all my stickers are pealing though :L
