Some nice Lego kits there, I didnt even think to ask for any Lego this xmas! :o

Saw this picture a few days ago, gosh I remember wanting this for xmas when I was young:

Might see if I can get one off ebay, probably going for a tidy sum.
 
Love seeing all the Star Wars Lego in this thread. I had all the Episode 5-6 and 1-2 ships back when I was younger.

Wish I'd kept them.

I've always wanted one of the mindstorm sets but I could see myself getting bored and not making something epic with it like the stuff you find on youtube

I had this when I was a kid
Still looks better than most the lego stuff you get these days thats all overpriced stuff

My Dad got me some lego for xmas! Got the Technic V8 supercar. Ended up lying on the floor building it yesterday evening and finishing the job this morning. Ache all over now, feel too old for this lying on the floor malarky now I'm 25 :p

I can see a few bits of common technic in there, but I see your point l there is lots of custom parts only useable for this car.
 
Well lego seems to be designed to be made and displayed on a shelf these days rather something you can build , play with get bored and turn it into something else.

I guess they would rather you buy a whole new "kit" then reuse the one you have

Bah Humbug! There are some bits getting more specialised but it still doesn't mean you can't be imaginative.

On that note, to the mini fig collectors, series 9 isn't out and I picked up two packs at Lego store only to get two of the same :S

So I have a spare grey knight if anyone had any other series 9 they wanna trade :D

That must be awesome, the cat is just sitting there behaving itself and looking interested in it.

If a cat is interested so am I.

So I was expecting an X-wing from my girlfriend a Y-wing from her parents and a Tie Fighter from my Dad on Christmas day.

My dad and her parents came through, but my girlfriend didn't. Instead she got me this:
