***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I have to admit the temptation is there to put this on ebay. If I see them start selling at 1200 could effectively get it free when it gets released again

I suspect it has a high risk of being scammed, also possible for someone to get build it re box it and send it back all at your expense. Postage is not going to be cheap due to the weight.

Lego have announced they are now totally out of stock and it won't be available for sale on 1st of October to non VIP members with no time scale on when it will be available again. A good profit may be possible in the next 4 weeks.

14k sold in a few hours, the old 10179 set was rumoured to be 20k over 4 years.

Where has this been announced?

Totally meaningless when they let people become VIP members immediately before or during purchase

Precisely. So why have separate opening events for VIP members only?
So they encourage more people to sign up. The 'VIP' system is Lego's version of the Tesco Clubcard - the data will be used to monitor purchase trends and push out Lego advertising to interested customers.

My 5 year old is a member but I prefer not to pay full RRP for Lego so it's never used to gather loyalty points and Amazon get my custom instead.

go onto ebay, search lego 75192, then click sold listings

One guy is selling pre-orders saying stock available from 1st October for £850+.

one other seller has sold a set on bids for £1201+£50 P&P and its supposedly signed by the designers.
Surely for £850 when you knock off 15% in fees and whatever postage will be you'll be around £650 for the seller anyway?

Depends how you work the numbers. If you bought two then you could've got £100 back in quidco and vip points, so break even on selling the second kit would only be about £620 (£549 + 13%). So you sell for £850 and that makes you £230, which takes the cost of the first one down to £419.

Well I've no idea what's happening with my order - it still lists itself as "in warehouse" and I have had a confirmation email but no dispatch email... wait and see I suppose although hopefully I was quick enough to actually get one that is in stock (my order completed before 08:00am, maybe around 07:45am)
