***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Short of glueing, not really. Lego is designed to come apart and I never expected it to survive a house move. I took measures to minimise the amount of rebuilding and to an extent it worked, but it was never going to be hassle free

New set leak - Looks great!

Yep at least 8 billion quid, I've been using it to show my wife how lucky she is that I spend barely anything on my hobbies :)

Looks very impressive, out of interest do you have a top 5 sets?

I’ll discount the AT-AT because it’s not official, although it is by far the most impressive model in the room.

1. I have both UCS Falcon’s, but the original is best.
2. Tower Bridge, boring build but very large and impressive model when finished.
3. Old Fishing Shack, incredible amount of detail squeezed into a relatively small model.
4. F40, my favourite car as a kid and the Lego version is really accurate.
5. Technic Unimog, this was around when I realised my fun pastime had become a bit of a collection

Cheers interesting. BTW do you have all that insured (don't' worry not planning a burglary...yet)?

that is a pricey kit, which is a shame as it does look amazing, its going to need me to have a really ****** day or win the lottery

I don't think its that pricey, its over 4k pieces. Sure loads of those pieces are tiny like the chain but it has loads of mini figures and those track pieces can't be cheap.

the piece count as others have said is deceiving, you're looking at possibly 500 circular stacking pieces just for the upright posts, coupled with at least 200-400 chain pieces, as theyre tiny and its a huuuge chain.

If you're shelling out for this though id say the power function is a no brainer though
