All of the NASA sets are fantastic, just buy them all, don't even think about it or hesitate, they're some of the best sets for a long time and all work so well together
 
I think that's what I'm going to do. I've not seen the shuttle go on sale so will just grab that now but the Lander seems to go on sale every now and again so will hold out for a bit.
 
Just ordered the Disney castle direct from lego. How long is it before they send you an email? It's on the lego website under my orders but after 30 mins still no confirmation email:confused:.

Not really, this is a whole load of made up outrage by the anti woke police who seem to think there’s some kind of agenda behind everything.

The names for these products is focused grouped to hell and back. The product is aimed at kids who may never have even seen EP4-6. The ships name is not mentioned outside of a few obscure comic strips and only adult fans are actually going to know the name.

If you actually look at all of the Lego star ships released the Slave 1 is one of the few ships referred to by its ‘Nick name’, the mother notable one is the Millennium Falcon which is said who knows how many times in the films.

If I asked my wife which characters ship was slave 1, she wouldn’t have a clue but she’s seen all the relevant material. That’s the point of the change.

If a kid asks their parents for ‘Boba’s space ship’ how are they going to know that is Slave 1?

Most ships are either called ‘X characters ship’ or the mode name (X-wing) if it’s mentioned in the films or a generic name that describes it (imperial shuttle).

If anything this ‘change’ just brings it online with most other releases and is way more relevant to those who may want it (kids) and wouldn’t actually know what it’s called because it’s a piece of obscure trivia.

Not only that the name is pretty rubbish, Boba Fett’s role has massively changed since EP5/6 (was a villain, now a hero) and it doesn’t really relate to that at all.

Like I said, it’s fake outrage nonsense that shouldn’t really matter but for some reason some Star Wars fans seem to think Disney has this agenda that is against them and this just fits their narrative so they can have a pop on the internet. :p

The reality is:
Focus groups
Marketing
Making it easy for parents to buy the right thing
Profit

Aka how business make more money. Alternatively they may just not want slavery being linked to the product, but either way it doesn’t really matter because changing the name for this product actually makes sense because of who it is aimed at.

Mini Adidas trainer is the giveaway this week with orders over £95, not just the full size trainer.

The full size trainer is only £80 so you have to buy more to get it.

Suspect this mini will fetch good money on ebay in time though. The only uk one sold so far hit £45 but that's before market swamped.

Not quite as high as the minifig scaled 89' batmobile freebie 40433 that still fetches north of £100. Think that peaked at £140ish.

Just had a look in my local lego store and the mini trainer is well worth the £95 to get it. Comes in a mini Adidas presentation box too.

Lego stores still have stock of the other recent freebies so you get several at the mo.
 
The nearest brand store for me is a 4 hour round trip. I’d just order online if I wanted it :p

I think I’m going to sit out of this one, it’s not really my cup of tea. Perhaps remind those in the trainer thread though.

The full size trainer defo isn't for me either.

Yer, 4 hour trip fail. I'm lucky mines nearby.

I won't be building the Apartment, it will be for keep. I will probably build Central Perk instead (just found out i accidentally crushed the box anyway!)

The Typewriter makes for a good display piece.
 
Damn this thread. Just got the shoe and then threw in the Everyone is Awesome set to get enough for the Adidas GWP :rolleyes: :D
