***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Was due to retire at the end of 2022 but no longer showing on the 'Retiring Soon' list and read the retirement date had been pushed out. Decent reduction & OOS on the Lego site though, but still not showing as retiring soon
Doesn't usually say "sold out" until its gone. I don't think every set says "retiring soon"?

Sold out = gone
Temporarily out of stock = more to come

I think

That's what I thought. Which would mean it's gone

Happened to saturn v a few weeks back. Soon after all the 3rd party stockists dried up. Almost immediately

Its gone from zavvi and now argos

Just purchased Porsche 911 (42096).

Is it normal for some parts to be loose in the box and not in sealed bags?

I had 2 very small parts loose but all the bags are sealed, from what I can see.

Picked the Bugatti up in Argos earlier today - had always planned to get it before it retired but didn't think it would be so soon after they had apparently extended it's life

Has already been extended at least once.
The entry of the ferrari signalled its retiring for sure.

You did well to find stock at argos!

I really wanted to grab the Bugatti, might have to have a look as I still regret missing the orange Porsche GT3 RS. I ended up with the 42096 Porsche 911 Rsr instead.

 These display stands have come up for sale local to me right when i really not want to spend that kind of money :mad::mad::mad:
It really is a pain as i been looking for something like this for years (But would really like 600mm deep and 4 or 5 glass shelfs)

Also £500 each secondhand feels very high, But i have no idea how much something like this would cost new

Question for you all, I have about 150 sets all in (ranging from £10 ones to the UCS Falcon), I had started off storing the manuals in a stool and the boxes as they are in the loft. After a while the stool ran out of space and I left the manuals in the boxes and then put them in the loft. My loft isnt big enough for this, so I bought some lever arch folders and plastic wallets and have been putting all the manuals into these. I then started bringing all the boxes down out of the attic and flatpacking them. As I did this I realised I had made a mistake leaving the manuals in the ones I had because although the boxes are fine and the manuals themselves are generally fine, where the glue parts are has been affected and now a lot of them dont open properly (this isnt related to my question though, as its my own fault and something ill just be honest about if/when I sell that set). I now have a pile of flat boxes which I plan to organise into themes, bag and then put back in the loft.

My questions (realised I had two as I typed) are

1. Would you keep all the boxes, even the ones for the £10-£20 sets or just those over a certain RRP.
2. Does anyone else keep all the little 1x1 extras you get in sets to then go with that set if/when you sell, or do all spares just go into a big centralised bucket. I ask as I have over a hundred little bags of extras that are all labelled with the set number and wondering whether its worth keeping them like that or just saying "okay these are no longer part of this set"

Cheers
