***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Finished my Aliexpress UCS Falcon. Had a couple of missing pieces along the way which I just got from Ebay to save time but apart from that an excellent build. Also got the MOC escape pod too.

Getting it on that stand was definitely a nerve wracking experience balancing it on the edge of a table with one hand while trying to hook the stand into the back of it with the other but got there eventually and it will now stay on top of that bookshelf forever :D

Off topic: Prior to Solo coming out I'm sure that slot was assumed to be a docking arrangement for cargo and hence why the cockpit is offset. I never liked the idea of it being a escape pod, it seems disproportionately large compared to the main vehicle.
But is it disproportionate to the cockpit / number of passengers ?

Also could be additional storage or a mix of escape pod and valuable cargo?

The cockpit is offset because of the design of cargo containers in the SW universe and the cargo pusher style of the Corellian YT series on which the Falcon is based. https://www.kentslocum.com/post/the-millennium-falcon-s-true-purpose

Haave you got a link to the one you bought please?

Thanks

Our daughter turned 23 today and we got her the Phantom Menace Brickheadz and Minecraft Crafting Table. First Lego for her since she was about 12 and she is over the moon with them.

I just put up some Ikea cube shelves for her, so she has somewhere to display them, which is handy.

I'm looking at getting the home alone house as a project for Christmas. With Black Friday around the corner would it be possible be foolish to buy it now? Are there usually across the board offers on allot of lego over Black Friday? I realise on research that I've just missed deals with Disney and Smyths for it, sods law.

I'm probably gonna break mine down and sell it in the new year. Its a cool set, but I don't really have a good place for it

I don't have a dining table, and all the shelf space is filled with other lego. I got it just before Christmas '22 and that year it sat on the floor next to the tree and since then it has been on the bottom shelf (unseeable) at the bottom of the bed.

It will be back assuming it’s not being retired. Check the Lego website it should say if its EOL for this winter.

That pretty cool for a MOC from an existing kit. Luckily I can't afford to be tempted or the mini ship would be a tempting collection.

I have ordered my son loads of minifig scale ship flight bases from AliExpress. Should be here in about a week. Be nice to get his collection into more enjoyable display for him.
