***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I’ve got the Venator built, I’m tempted to get my SSD out the loft to compliment it.

I’ve not built the SSD for awhile but things feel like they have come a long way structurally.

The final model for the Venator no seems to be a lot more structurally sound, you can actually pick it up and move it without risking it falling an apart.

The falcon on the other hand is very fragile and a nightmare to move. I recall the SSD being better than the falcon but still not great in that regard.

Wish I had the space for the AT-AT, ISD, Venator etc .... I built the Titanic just before Christmas, but I'm in the position now where I pretty much have to tear down one model to put up another.

It’s that or a new shelf for me!

The falcon is so so fragile. I swear I look at it wrong and something falls off.

Really enjoyed the Ecto-1 build. Some lovely detail and touches and also the first time I was instructed to remove something added at a previous step for the next step.

I used to love Lego as a kid but back then it was more about taking a pile of bricks and making whatever I wanted out of them rather than all the kits nowadays (there's obviously nothing stopping you from just building what you want). Anyway, my daughter got me the Home Alone house for Christmas which I built on Boxing day, found it quite therapeutic.

My wife also got me the BttF DeLorean but unfortunately it ended up out of stock when she ordered it so it never actually arrived until the middle of January. I've started building it but there's a couple of pieces missing and there are no stickers! I've requested them via the Lego website but still no sign of them after a couple of weeks. Do they normally take a while to arrive?

Longest I have to to wait was about three weeks. I can't fault them for their service and support. They even found me replacement stickers for an out of production set when a piece went missing (probably hoovered up) and didn't charge for it.

I'm surprised by this TBH. I've built maybe 15 sets over the past 4-5 years and only had missing parts twice.

Anywhere from 1-3 weeks for me. Only had 1 missing piece on the ATAT and 1 on the falcon, not bad considering.

I guess it can happen especially with something this complicated. My Home Alone house had a piece that was the correct shape but was maroon instead of red. Since it was a piece that wasn’t visible, I just cracked on and used it.

The missing stickers is more of a surprise tbh.
