** The Official OcUK Mechanical Keyboard Thread **

I've been using my Ducky 9087 with Red switches for a month now and I could never go back to a standard keyboard now. Typing is a pleasure and I love the sound it makes. I hope one day I'll have a reason to buy another mechanical keyboard in the future as I want to try Blue switches, maybe go for a Filco this time. I got the Red for my MMORPG gaming.

I've replaced some of the keys on my standard black keys with blue backlit LEDS. Got an orange Half Life one as my Esc, along with blue keys with white legends function and arrow keys from QWERkeys, and finally the red keys with white legends WASD keys that came as standard.

The only thing I don't like but I've learned to live with is that I don't know if it's possible to switch the functionality of the function keys to its media function as standard, so that I don't have to hold down 'fn' every time I want to skip track for example.

Been using an original Razer Blackwidow Ultimate for nigh on two years, however I was diagnosed yesterday with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (20 years of intensive coding/typing/gaming taking their toll) and since symptoms started three months ago have found the blue's fatiguing.

So, Gigabyte Osmium ordered, was always going to be reds as a replacement, only problem now is steadily reducing typing speed from 90 WPM and gaming APM from 280 to reduce pain.

No questions, just some information in case anyone else finds themselves unfortunate to suffer from RSI/CTS.

Okay I've narrowed it down to either the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid with cherry mx brown switches or Ducky DK2108 Zero with cherry mx blue switches. I'm kind of stuck with what to pick, I do a lot of typing but I don't want the keyboard to be too loud but I actually use the num pad every so often whilst gaming so I'm not sure if the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid would be the best choice.

Recommendations for a MX Brown, blue backlit keyboard, removable wrist rest with media keys?
The Qpad MK-80 seems to tick the boxes.

Similar advice needed here. Looking for my first mechanical keyboard. MX brown with backlit keyboard.

Any recommendations?

Doesn't have to be from overclockers. Willing to shop else where depending on recommendations.

Forum rules prevent discussion of competitors.

If someone wants to recommend a particular keyboard that's fine, but they can't tell you where you can buy it unless it's OcUK.

Yes I know. They don't have to mention competitors, google can do that for me.

Waiting for OcUK to stock them, seems there is only one place in the UK at the moment which does (As of yesterday).

Yeah i would have liked to have ordered from OcUK but they always seem slow in getting Corsair products in stock, bit like the Corsair Gen2 PSU cable kits i've had mine for over a month now.
