My Filco Minila Air is coming in soon, it'll be replacing my typecover for my Surface 2 Pro, just wish I could get blank caps for it.

I was pondering getting an ISO Poker 2, but I want to move away from wires, I have so many floating about in my bag that it's just getting silly.

*Yes, the camo doesn't match, but i'm deciding on a colour to spray the case/which metal case to get.
 
Cooler Master Storm Quick Fire TK Stealth with browns going for £57.99 on a certain online shop. Think i'm just going to bite the bullet as I can't seem to pick anything up on the MM. My only concern is are browns going to be much louder than a standard membrane keyboard (albeit one that requires severe button mashing sometimes) when typing?

I've took the plunge and ordered a Ducky DK-9008 shine 3 with brown switches and red backlight. I was originally looking at the zero, but don't think they do one with red backlight? Just waiting for it to be back in stock now...

Hoping the snake on the space bar doesnt look too over the top in the flesh. I quite like it from just seeing the product pictures on OcUK, but I get the impression it's not as popular as the older more subtle version.

I upgraded from a DS 2 to a DS 3 the other day (wanted a colour change, selling my DS 2 to my brother :p). I'm not keen on the snake spacebar either but it comes with a spare which is very similar to the old DS 2 spacebar, it has the same Ducky logo but with a small design on either side to show off the extra LEDs under the spacebar.

Great stuff, I was going to ask if you could buy a spare space bar, so it's great they include one with it.

I was hoping it would be back in stock this week but it's still showing as pre-order :(. After spending so much I am itching to try it out.
 
Got my ducky shine 3 today and I am very impressed so far. Spent about half an hour playing with all the different light settings :D.

I went for the brown switches, which seem great so far. I'm not bottoming out the keys when typing, so don't think the rubber o-ring mod will be necessary. It's slightly louder than my rubber dome kb, but the sound is rather satisfying. Feels so much nicer and is a joy to use. I just hope that it will last a long time with it being so expensive.

I did try to get a few pics, but it's impossible to get the colour of the leds right. It just looks orange no matter what colour balance I tried, so gave up in the end.
 
Would it be worth updating the firmware on my shine 3? Current firmware version is 3.0.7 and the latest is 3.1.2.

One of the updates is 'Increased LED backlight PWM frequency' which would be good as i have noticed the flicker. I sorted it by turning down the brightness, but a higher frequency would be great.

Also had the kb has switched off completely a few times. It seems to happen when I am adjusting the lighting with the Fn key. The board will just completely turn off and I have to unplug and plug it back in again to get it to work again. So hopefully there will be a fix for that as well.

Just a bit worried about the firmware update messing up and bricking my brand new kb :eek:.
