Good choice, what was that gave it the edge for you?

NP.
If you are near any good PC stores (I don't think Cleveland will but oh well) then go try a mechanical out to see if you like it first. Especially if you're buying it due to Starcraft 2 because you'll find that it's only a nicer feeling, it won't improve your gameplay.

Malk101 said:I don't know of any shops in my area that would stock a Mechanical Keyboard (they may not even know what one is :S) so i am having to go by reviews and Ocuk members verdicts ect..
No idea how reputable Ozone is as a company but my Strike is very well made, does what it says on the tin, etc.
I tried the SteelSeries 6G and it felt fantastic, unfortunately no wrist rest though.
QPAD is a more reputable brand (to my knowledge anyway) and I'm sure that HeatoN used to work for them, therefore they must be doing something right surely? I have no need for the extra USB ports that the Ozone offers. The MK-50 seems like a less feature rich version of the MK-85, which is rated as one of the best keyboards for gamers.
I think the QPAD looks a touch better too. That's about it
A store in Oldham is absolutely huge and they have a section dedicated to PC gaming peripherals. I tried the SteelSeries 6G and it felt fantastic, unfortunately no wrist rest though.
like paying him a lot of money to endorse their productsQPAD is a more reputable brand (to my knowledge anyway) and I'm sure that HeatoN used to work for them, therefore they must be doing something right surely?
The CM is smaller and slightly cheaper.![]()
...it is an exceptional keyboard for the money.
If you dont use the number pad a lot, get the CM, it is an exceptional keyboard for the money.
I've had my MEKA G-Unit keyboard a few weeks now but I've twice had repeating key syndrome, where I press a key as normal, let go but it keeps repeating until eventually hitting another key stops it. By then I have two or three lines worth of repeated letters. I've never had this issue with any of my other keyboards.
Question: Is my keyboard faulty or is it one of those rare 'glitches' that can happen with Cherry MX Black keyboard? In three weeks it has only happened twice but obviously it shouldn't happen at all. Do I have to set the Keyboard control panel settings a certain way: the repeat rate, etc.? It has happened with the 'm' key and now the 'h' key so far.
I'm wondering if I should return this keyboard to Scan and exchange it for a Cherry MX Brown keyboard but I've had it three weeks now so I'm not sure whether they'd accept a return unless this issue definitely indicates a fault.
QPAD MK-50 arrived a few days ago. Only used it briefly but it feels and looks fantastic. The 4 spare orange replacement keys are brilliant. A bit sad but it makes WASD look cool![]()
What I'd do (as I haven't got a clue) - mess around with the settings, if that doesn't fix it RMA and don't take no for an answer! I haven't experienced any such issues with my Ozone Strike.
I would replace mine for that hardcore gamer look, but I use RDFG![]()
You can put the 4 orange keys wherever you want. Just use the tool to pull the keys out and replace with the spares.![]()
The ones I got actually had WASD on the keys - I could replace RDFG with them, but it would look stupid
I could also buy replacement keys, but I don't actually care that much. I don't think I ever look at the keyboard when I put my hand on it anyway, it would only be for novelty value!
