** The Official OcUK Mechanical Keyboard Thread **

That looks lovely, thinking about getting a set myself after seeing those shots!

Thanks!

Just a warning though i had to pay £16.95 in customs charges to get it on top of the delivery charges.... Just something to bear in mind!

Save me bothering what was the total price of replacing all of that - Looks awesome and my filko doesnt look so nice anymore :D

Well the key caps should have been $59.99 (got charged $69.99 - getting refunded for the difference). Postage was $10 and then the customs charges that i didn't know about until i had to go pick up the box £16.95.

So $79.99 - $10.00 + £16.95

So give or take £60 all in.

That shouldn't be tempting considering its half the price of the keyboard but it sooo is!

Cheers

Got some new WASD key caps, not sure what pattern im going with yet.

Just ordered a custom WASD keyboard.

Well, a semi custom + 39 ISO key set. Will post pictures when I get it.

FYI, so far, the semi custom ($119.99) + 39 ISO keys ($19.99) + delivery ($56 or something) totals to £122.15 after PayPals ****e conversion.

I'll let you know how much customs do me for.

So i kinda broke my Logitech Ultra X the other day after raging at Driver San Francisco and accidentally smashing a 360 controller on to it,

Turns out it's end of line and no longer sold anywhere so I started researching keyboards and somehow ended up here - read the whole thread top to bottom now

My brain says stick with whatever you can pick up for a tenner but having read the thread I feel as though I should at least try some mechanical action to see what I think!

Also not exactly how happy I would be spending £100+ on a keyboard.....then again I said the same about PSU's....

Any highstreet stores that might have demo models available? :)

I game mostly but do prattle on when posting on forums and occasionally indulge in some random musing of blog posting so I'm assuming browns would be the way forward?

Also I understand my now ex keyboard was a scissor switch type yet I have no real issues with it - is it even worth changing?

Got my corsair to plug in and try when i finally get out of this hell hole I call work!

For £100 quid it better be good ;)

Anyone help out with my query? Day off tomorrow so going window shopping :D

(Failing that I might just buy the Filco Ninja Majestetouch 2 and be done with it....)

Had a look in a shop today and the Razer Black Widow was the only mechanical keyboard I could find on the shelf with just the cursor keys available to press.

I those are black switches then I'm not sure if I'd get on well with a lighter key?
