Needed either BBB for Nottingham to do Physics
or
CCC for Edinburgh for Physics

I got DDE

Yey me :(

Nevermind, retakes should sort me out for going in 2004 :)

A friend of mine didn't get the grades for her 1st choice on UCAS, but she did get enough for the insurance one.

Does that mean she HAS to take the insurance option, or can she still apply through clearing?
We tried to look in all the bits of paper and books, but they aren't very helpful..

Thanks!

Well the vast majority of you still did better than Prince Harry who was afforded the best education and still only got a B for art and a D for Geography. :)

You friend should have got a letter from UCAS today like i did (she may get it later due to the post)

The Letter has a reply slip on it with the best "accepted" choice she has made, there are 2 boxes to tick, one says you wish to accept the offer, the other is decline.

Not sure about the whole clearing issue, best tell her to check the ucas website.

I just got back from madrid, and i couldnt actually be happier at the moment! had that white envelope waiting on the doorstep and inside i found:

Maths (A-level): 570/600 - A
Physics (AS-level): 282/300 - A
Economics (AS-level): 255/300 - A
Computing (AS-level): 270/300 - A

:D

Yep you can still go through clearing.

When I got my results, got my required results for my 1st choice Coventry, and my insurance Northumbria. However due to various other things namely money I couldn't take up my place. So I had to go via Clearing.

Basically heres how you do it. You see where you want to go via clearing, phone thier admissions ask if they have a place, if they have then phone (not write or send forms back) UCAS, inform them that you are declining your 1st or insurance offer, they'll ask why, give them whatever reason. I actually had good reason but if you don't use personal issues and they should leave you alone. Also tell them that you intend to go via clearing, they should be pretty helpful. And should cancle your place on the insurance course and send out some forms. They also checked to see if there were places on the course I wanted to changed to for me. They'll also tell you what to do next. Basically you terminate your agreemnt with UCAS and go to clearing.

In my case I had to phone up the admissions of the two uni's I was turning down, and tell them and explain my circumstances and that I was declining their offers. It allows them to free up your reserved place to other students in Clearing.

Next I had to get back to Plymouth's admissions and sort my place out there, had a simple telephone interview and was accpeted there and then on to the course.

In total took less than 3 days to sort it all out. But best advice phone UCAS.

Hope this helps.

Well done Hiroki :) Shouldn't have too much trouble getting Straight A's at A Level now since you've got very high A's that you can afford to get B's and C's next year and still come out with A's :)

I am fairly disappointed with half of my result tbh :(

AS Business - A - :D
95/100
93/100
87/100

AS English - B
AS Physics - D
AS Psychology - D

Am seriously not happy with the last two. I was 2 points off a C in psychology but that is no excuse. I've decided to drop english and focus on psychology and physics for next year :)

a/s

AVCE ICT year 1 - 'E' - At least I passed and will be in second year!
Environmental Science - 'D' - Boo, will drop this.

What can I do next year to do as a side subject to AVCE ICT? Was thinking Media Studies?

Thought I'd add my A-level grades...

Biology - A (In 2 out of the 3 papers, I got 100%)
Physics - A (One paper being 100%)
Chemistry - A (One paper being 100%)

So, 3 A's and 100% in 4 papers :D

Only need 3 B's to get into Warwick Uni to do Biological Sciences, so I'm all set.

Hehe, sorry for the pimping but I am damn happy with that!

Cheers

It looks like my poor results will benefit me in a way. I got a letter from the solicitor this morning saying that they will be used as evidence of my inability to concentrate in my claim after a crash last year.
I was predicted A's and B's and ended up with 2x D's and a C.
More money hopefully.

Just got back from holidays, well chuffed:

Maths A2: 567 A
Chemistry AS: 267 A
Physics AS: 279 A
History AS: 248 A

I've given up history so now i only have further maths, physics and chemistry A2s left. :)
